Am I the only one....

Am I the only one feeling a sense of dread for the EAH doll line? I feel like EAH being excluded from SDCC in not a good sign. It seems like all the focus is on MH and DCSHG… Are we at the end?

I hate to say it but I think you are right. I think maybe they decided Super Heroes not Princesses is the direction to go. I mean, it's a new market with little competition versus trying to compete with Disney who has the "Princess" market cornered. I'm new to collecting and this is the first doll line I have ever followed but I don't think it's going to continue much longer which is kind of heart crushing.

Most everything needs to be folded in half. The Mirror is a Frame craft with replaceable inside images. I suggest cutting out the middle part of the mirror and glueing the edges of the sides and bottom so you can slide the inside part with the Evil queen images in and out.

Reboot Cleo with Pet Cat

I haven’t done a review in a long time but I got the reboot Cleo and decided I wanted to put my two cents out there. First let me say, I have not been in the Monster High Fandom long (about a year) and I’m more into Ever After High. That said I think there have been some great additions to Cleo’s look. I really like the molded wrappings on her body. I know before her clothing always had wrappings incorporated into her ensemble but I think it makes her doll stand out as uniquely as the other dolls when compared to other fashion dolls. 

I’ve been a little disappointed in the quality of this doll but all minor things. As you can see in the pictures, she has a couple of hair strands that are longer than all the others. I’ve fixed that with a pair of scissors. The other thing is that one of her joints wasn’t sanded down and sticks out really bad. 

Overall though I really love her. She is a gorgeous doll that I’m glad I added to my collection. The pet kitty is really cute too. 

Just for fun I compared her to my only other Cleo (BYBY). I also tried on BYBY Cleo’s dress on the new body type. I didn’t discuss this much since I’ve seen plenty of body comparisons. The dress fit just fine.

There is no comparison! Original Holly’s face mold is so much more elegant, beautiful, and is just of better quality. As you can tell I am not a fan of the new smiling face molds with the shrunken heads. Booooo Mattel, just booooooo.

When I first saw EAH dolls I thought their oversized heads were a little odd but still thought the dolls were beautiful overall. I've seen people dyi shrinking the heads and didn't really like it. So, I'm really disappointed the new dolls are coming with smaller heads. I know it's probably more proportional or whatever but I guess I've gotten used to the larger head and prefer it now.
