So i guess this will basically be the last post about my travels to Korea. I seriously want to go back. I miss my friends, the subways, not tipping, and so much more.
Thursday was my last day of school. Did my presentation on kpop, and then took a picture with my professor. She is so smart... Dr. Rosa Chun. Went home and ate lunch, and packed more of my life from Korea into my suitcase. Then we went biking at the Han River, and it was really scenic. Biking was pretty easy, as it is basically all flat, with very small hills. I forgot how free biking makes you feel, especially when you are coasting down the hill. Then we stayed until 8, so that we could watch the Banpo bridge light show. It is super pretty, but not as pretty as World of Color.... (I have too many expectations...) Then we headed back to Sinchon, because we were going to go to Barfly, in Sinchon, where there were unlimited drinks from 10-12, for entry for 10,000 won. I mostly got vodka and cranberry, and vodka and orange juice. I had about 4 drinks, but I wasn't drunk. We stayed at Barfly until 2. I was supposed to go meet my other friends so that we could go clubbing in Hongdae, but I had no wifi, so I couldn't contact them... >.< Then went to sleep.
Friday... what did we do? hrmmm... I woke up kind of late, and I went to Edae for the last time... :((( There, I met one of my friend's family, because her family came to Seoul to go on vacation, so we met up with them later on that day, because we first went to go eat at my favorite place with the Spam and eggs and korean veggies, and all kinds of deliciousness. Then we met up with my friend and her family so that we could eat Patbingsoo, which was almost my last time. Then we all went to Hongdae, so that my friend could take her family to a dog cafe. I ended up getting doubles... so now I have 5 holes in my ear. I got my ears pierced at Crow, in Hongdae. It's super cheap, and really close to the Korea Tourism Organization. ($20 for 3 earrings and 2 piercings) (and my parents haven't noticed... yet!) And then I went back to sinchon to quickly change, and meet one of my Korean friends, because it was the last time that I would be able to meet her before I left Korea. So I met her at Gwanghwamun station! Then we went to get a haircut for me, which was 12,000 won. And then she took me to a place where the tteokbukki is fried in soy sauce so its not spicy, but crispy. It was so delicious. We also went to her place for a short while, because it was close to where we were. We also went to a famous Jeon place, because I have never eaten jeon, and I really like eating it when it is a part of the side dishes. So we got two kinds, one of the seafood version, and the other of a radish version. I liked the seafood one more, but both were so good. Then we went to Seoul Finance Center, where we went to Cafe 5cing, and we got more patbingsoo, as well as a scone. both were really good. AHHHH i miss the food in Korea... T-T We then went to Itaewon, to get some drinks, we went to this Tropical themed Bar, and I totally forgot what the name was, but I wanted a mojito, and they didn't have of the regular version, so I got a passion fruit version, which was okay. We then talked until like 1ish, and then we shared a taxi home. It was so much fun hanging out with her. I miss her already... :(
On Saturday, woke up, and we went to lunch with 2 of the UCEAP assistants. We went to Chak Han Pig, out favorite AYCE kbbq. nom nom nom. We then split up into groups, one group went to I-house, with the assistants, so that we could teach the assistants how to play Monopoly Deal. Dude. The assistants were really good at Monopoly deal. I lost like 3 times... but I finally won on the last game. The other group went to Edae, so that they could go shopping a bit more before leaving. Then we went back to our rooms so that we could pack more, before getting ready for clubbing. We went to Octagon, because it was free, because our DJ friend was playing. There, we met up with more friends, as well as 2 of the UCEAP assistants. One of the UCEAP assistants was one that we hung out with earlier. At first, a group of the people that were a part of UCEAP could not get into the club, but later on, they were able to get in. We then went to the Mini Stop nearby to pregame. I drank until my head started to hurt, and then we went to the club to dance. It was okay, but for me personally, I would rather dance with random guys, cuz you don't have to see them ever again, but a lot of my friends prefer dancing with guys they know. I have no clue why. But one of my friends who I went clubbing with, let's name her T, I go crazy when I dance with her, because its just more fun to have a friend that doesn't really care what they look like when they are dancing, so at the later end of the night, she and I went off on our own, and we just were dancing by the stage. There was this group infront of us, and one girl with heels on stepped on us, so we kept elbowing her. Later on that night, another group closed in on that space, and then this girl kept going into the space that we were dancing in, so we kept elbowing her, and then she got mad. she spoke to us in English, and we just acted like we didn't know english. but she was a beezy. or maybe we are just mean, but they had space on the other side of them so... whatever. She just couldn't keep up with us :P I think once, a guy came up to dance with me, but my friend T, said no. DARN. totally cockblocking. oh wells. We went home around... 3ish. and it was so sad, because we said goodbyes to the UCEAP assistants, who came outside to say goodbye to us. It was funny because people started carrying other people. One of the UCEAP assistants carried me (princess style)... -_- which sucks, because I was one of the heavier people in my group... >.< so now he knows how much I weigh... -_- oh wells. whatever. and then we said our goodbyes to people who we went clubbing with. And then we went back to our dorms. Back at the dorms, I did laundry, so that my clothes wouldn't smell like smoke when I packed my clothes. I basically stayed up all night, so that I could pack, and do laundry. I checked out of my room at 7AM on Sunday, and then headed to the airport by myself, because no one else had the same flight time as me, and I didn't know how long it would have taken for me to get to the airport... I took the airport bus there, so i wasn't sure how long it would take. I think it took an hour, but I feel asleep, because I was so tired.
Incheon airport is kind of confusing, especially when you want to get your duty-free stuff. So first, you check in, (get your ticket, check your bag, etc) and you just bring your receipts with you outside of security, and you HAVE to get them stamped, and then you go through security, and then you have to go by Gate 28, and there you are able to get your cash back. For one of the lines, there was like... 20 chinese tourists ahead of me, and my tax refund was like 2,000 won, so I just gave up. I wish that I had more time to go explore the airport, but I didn't know where to look for everything, and I was also really tired. And then I flew to Japan, and got KitKats there, and then came back to America.
I MISS KOREA. I want to go back so much!
