While discord has been known to fold on these things I highly recommend setting up a telegram and signal to keep in touch with people securely. Mumble is a great VoIP alternative for those who can get by on just voice. Teamspeak is an option for those who have the know how. As always there are ways to bypass these things but being sure to have backups in place is something you should do now

Ethical problems of surveillance aside, Discord cannot be trusted with your information. There was already a data breach of 70,000 users' government IDs in October of 2025.

The support email listed on Discord's website for contact does not work. Instead, flood their system via submitting support requests via this form.

Discord also has an account on X, so if you have an account you can go put them on blast over there.

Public outrage over decisions like this does work. Make your voices heard.

Hit them where it hurts: their wallet, and their reputation. We can reverse this attempt at fascist surveillance.

DO NOT GIVE ANY APP A SCAN OF YOUR FACE OR ID. It's NEVER safe, NEVER secure, and WILL be used to harm you.

Worst comes to worse, look for alternatives. I know it'll be rough, but we cannot use an app that violates and puts us in danger like this.
