Radio (WD) for TMS
Here I am Labuan. Standby for Standalone AHT job in SKO, Sarawak Oil Field. Job contract under HGIS.
Meanwhile, in data processing (QINSy)
Below are the some important matters and reminders ( That I managed to learn, so far.):
1. Tide Data (observed data/predicted data/simplified ATT method)
the method is depends on the client requirement.
if using predicted data generate by QINSy Tide Manager, make sure do a cross-check the value with the surveyor (if previously given predicted value from a different tide software). There will be a slight difference between the predicted tide (CD) and (MSL).
the difference between them should not > 4 cm.
2. SVP value
it is adviced to record the SVP value before each survey job day.
previous day job, the value still can be used but may affect data. (Need to study)
Tide Data Manager (QINSy version 8.1)
*Time issue between tide data and survey line data.
*Tips to correct the incorrect time zone in survey line data.
- Job done in Malaysia, but time zone is UTC:
- in Malaysia +8:00, so if survey data line start at 2:00am in 26 Aug, add 8 hours = 10:00am is the actual survey line data start time, and still in 26 Aug.
- so apply tide in tide data manager (manual method) by select 26 Aug, and 8:00am first tide data (depend on when tide is first collected, but must always before survey line data time!) and end time lets say the tide is last collected at 16:00pm on the same day.
-so we have 2 hours early from survey line data start time, this will give extra tide info as long as tide is collected before start survey till we end the survey job.
-QINSy can now process the tide data by tally the tide value with the survey line data value by refering to time of the data.

Sounding in Jetty Pulau Ketam, Port Klang done! Process and process tide and reduced sounding results are next! Viva is on 14th January and still got few weeks to go. This is how it was at the site.
Need to go down to Port Klang to do simulation for real-job-situation;include tides and dynamic aspects. Equipment added is going to be either auto tide gauge or tape. Hopefully everything goes well this Saturday.
