TRAs: “We trans people love GNC folks. Trans activism helps society accept gender-nonconforming people.”
All lies.
Now, butch or masculine women are seen as trans men or non-binary.
Effeminate gay men are seen as trans women who just haven’t cracked their eggs yet.
"the white gays" vs "queer people" as if it’s the homosexuals who are annoying about this while the qia+ community are the ones being persecuted.. girl it’s more often than not the other way around... white tqia+ people are the ones who are constantly fetishizing homophobia while lgb people are being persecuted imprisoned and murdered in so many countries. you guys are so homophobic it’s unreal
It's almost like most gay people find them obnoxious and invasive regardless.
People who blame their homophobia on religion are so funny because do they know that it’s a choice to follow that religion? “I’m not homophobic, I’m just following my religious beliefs” okay but you don’t actually have to have those religious beliefs. You’re actively choosing to follow a homophobic belief system, which does make you homophobic.
but the transgender movement's not homophobic eh
A few years later:
The Tumblr Model never disappoints.
The notes on this are proving just how homophobic this site’s users really are.
I appreciate that the model says “tolerance” and not empathy or acceptance, ‘cause that’s very clearly what it was from the get go. It was always just posturing.
“I might lose followers for this” and “we love the gays more than they love themselves” are such ludicrously self-centered sentiments.
They always made it about themselves and their ‘bravery’, and the subject of their own self-aggrandizing was and is irrelevant. Gays, ethnic minorities, women, disabled. Whatever’s fashionable at any given time.
Glorification and appropriation just cannot happen if you truly empathize with people. It takes a generous degree of separation and dehumanisation.
I still don't really understand why so many young girls are obsessed with being "gay men".
what happene to all the weeb girls lusting after yaoi
they became k-pop fans
Hey, some of us realized we were actually mlm trans guys and it was a weird outlet for our romantic tensions
The other 99% are the not-necessarily straight girls anymore who call every skinny white guy they thirst after a himbo and a twink.
you hets are so close to understanding this is just taking your fetish for gay men to the next level
I cannot fucking believe one of them actually admitted it
those fetishits really be admiting it
I’ve been on tumblr so long I still remember the inital site-wide backlash against fujoshis. No surprise that the ‘gay trans guy’ boom happened almost immediately after.
Literally predicted the entire reblog additions from the OP
Still doing centuries old homophobia in the year 2025 is crazy

So gay men should have sex reassignment surgery in order to have straight sex instead? They should undergo highly risky, medically unnecessary, life-changing surgery to avoid gay sex? Gay men should endanger themselves and worsen their quality of life —anything to be heterosexual? This is a very appropriate and not at all homophobic belief. This is definitely not extreme conversion therapy rhetoric. Homosexual people are lucky to share community with such radically accepting people 👍
…. As if that “bottom surgery” doesn’t require daily prep and upkeep to keep it from literally healing closed????
Homophobic and utterly ignorant to the surgeries they are promoting
hey is that two cowboys in your drawing, holding hands or some shit? just like in brokeback mountain? wow.......so ..... they're gay!? no way. and is that another pic showing one of them has top surgery scars? wooow youre showing me this for the first time. ive never seen this before. and you say that you are a gay man yourself? whhhhoooah, thats fascinating. from your tumblr-derived art style and love for forbidden romance tropes between men, i foolishly assumed you were a female consumer of yaoi. i should have read your bio, which clearly states you are a "he/they mlm" and "love kissing boys". does anyone know where i can find 200+ more drawings of gay cowboys where one of them has a vagina, drawn by a real gay man?
the thing is some people will say things like its ok to 'have a genital preference' but you just shouldnt call yourself gay/lesbian because those words refer to gender. so like ok what r we supposed to call ourselves then. what is the word for a person who is only attracted to someone with the same primary sex characteristics as them. what word can we use that you won't wrinkle your nose in disgust at. why are you even bothering to pretend its the word you have a problem with and not just the actual fucking homosexuality of it all.
"its ok to have a preference but you should examine why you have that preference" what if we dont know. what if its just there, solid and fixed and unchangeable, and we don't know why, we just know that it is? is that a good enough answer? or do we have to keep examining it and dwelling on it do we have to keep going until we figure out some "cause" of our homosexuality? what if we never do? what if there isn't anything? what if we're just like this? what if this can be a natural and normal and healthy way of being? is that alright by you?
god i hate “queer” people lmao some of us are normal
I just came across this video and I can't download it but audio was "that's very interesting, but what do we do about the gays how do we get rid of them" which is mostly used by gay men to make fun of homophobes. I honestly can't believe this. How are you gonna invade the gay community and then complain that it isn't centered around you. The comments are disgusting as well:
These people (mostly straight girls) have the nerve to say that were destroying the community when they're the ones ruining everything. I'm so fucking tired.
And apparently calling out homophobic trans people isnt allowed. How dare the allosexual privileged cis gay men criticize other members of the "community"!!
“I've seen femme twinks be transphobic like THE LACK OF AWARENESS”
How dare these gay men be comfortable in their own skin while gnc instead of getting medicalized for life and living as the opposite sex since they refuse to comply with the gender role assigned to theirs
it's always amusing when they claim that 'cis' gay men and lesbians are even *more* transphobic than the straights. We're not the ones passing "anti trans" laws or making their healthcare more difficult for them. But we do say things like "no, I don't want to have sex with you" and I guess that's even worse.
who can reclaim the f slur? (listing the most common discourse opinions i've seen on this)
- anyone
- any queer person
- gay men only
- any queer man, but no one else
- gay men and transfems
- queer men and transfems
- only people who've had it used against them personally
- other specific group(s) of people
- i don't know/bald

elaborating / adding my thoughts to the tumblr model of learning about other communities / minority groups
I tried to condense it into a graphic to fit above but the full explanation isssssssss.....
Tolerance: wanting to listen to and learn from a minority group; may be wanting to learn so that they feel cooler or edgier than their parents/peers/whatever
Glorification: associating positive traits / culture with a minority group; wishing they were part of the group; these traits may have basis in reality, but are overgeneralized; may include flattening of group's opinions into a monolith, and choosing to be "on their team" regardless of what the subject/statement is
Appropriation: claiming they're "practically [minority group]"/"not a [majority group member] at heart" because they want to associate themselves with the perceived cool culture/traits of the minority group
Fanaticism: claiming to literally be part of the minority group; changing definitions of the minority group so that it includes them
Intolerance: seeing the perceived culture/associated traits as the "true essence" of the minority group; claiming that people who meet the original dictionary definition, but not the perceived culture of the group, are not real members of that group
and here's some examples with same sex attraction
Tolerance:
I think gay people should be able to get married.
Gay sex isn't for me, but that doesn't mean it's wrong.
I've thought about it, and I think a gay couple would be just as capable of raising a child as a straight couple.
Glorification:
Circumstances force gay people to think harder about who and how they want to date, so they probably have better ideas about how dating culture should work. (I mean this is true IMO but like i said these have basis in reality and are then overgeneralized)
Gay people are so much cooler than straight people. They're so unique and open-minded. Straight people are boring.
A gay person wouldn't [date a cop/vote for Trump/do something else I dislike].
Appropriation:
I'm open-minded, so I'd kiss girls if you dared me or I got drunk. This means I'm not a boring straight person, who would never do that.
People always say I have gay vibes. My parents worry that I might be gay. Girls are always hitting on me and the guys I attract are weird/unique.
I dress gayer than you do! (said to a gay person)
Fanatacism:
I'm heterosexual and panromantic, which makes me queer. I wouldn't have sex with someone who has a vagina, but I when it comes to dating I just want someone who's nice to me. (I'll probably only date people with penises so that we can have sex though.) I'm just as gay/valid as anyone else in the community.
I don't love men in a straight way, I love them in a queer way. Being queer is about being non-normative, and I see my relationships as different from that of my straight peers, therefore my relationships are queer.
My queer identity is more complex than yours. (said to a gay person)
Intolerance:
People who are gay but in a way that I consider normative (e.g. butch-femme lesbians, people who only date the same sex) aren't really queer. They don't belong in the LGBTQIA community because they're close-minded. They're practically straight.
Saying that I need to date people with vaginas to be queer is backwards and queerphobic. Queerness exists on a spectrum and limiting it to genitals and birth sex is reductive.
I'm actually gay, you're a genital fetishist. (said to a gay person)
