i am a SUCKER for characters who start out as copies of other characters but eventually become their own people, their own identities, completely different from who they once reflected

The goat has stumped me badly. Sherry has always been the hardest to redesign but this is stupid
It’s been 43 minutes and I have NOTHING 😃
I don’t want her coat to look toooo complicated because I don’t want her to look cluttered….but I also want her to look like a goat!!!! RAAAAAAGGGHHHHH!!!!! She’s always been difficult I hate her so much right now bro
I’ve never considered removing a character more than right now. If I had money I’d commission…but I’m broke! Whoops! I’m going to push through I’m going to push through I’m going to push through

Whilst I’m in the midst of redesigning my characters (again), I’ve been thinking of their origins. As in…why did I make you this?
And, unfortunately, I can’t remember most of them! I think I made Marta a tiefling because it’s one of the DnD races I knew. I know I made Samson a human because I had no other human characters. Annnnd Rhapsody was lifted from a vague oc (I think she used to be called Marty who was super old and was inspired by 80’s culture….who had amnesia and couldn’t remember her face because vampire laws and also she destroyed all her portraits. It’s a trend.)
Sherry….cant remember why she’s a goat. I guess I thought it was fun? I really don’t know.
What I know for certain is that Melody, Alley, Jasper, Dish, and Silver were all lifted from the poem “hey, diddle diddle” because of its connection to the moon. It’s also why Melody, Alley, and Jasper always have that specific order to them, because my brain hasn’t let go of the connection to the poem 😭.
For everyone else? Noooo clue. No idea.
