He wasn't normally the one to pay attention to little trivial things. If it didn't catch his interest, he didn't bother with it. And even if it did catch said interest, only on very rare occasions would he take time out of his 'busy' schedule to even bother with said occurrence. Gin did, however, have a soft spot for animals, not that he would ever admit it outright. Something so common in human nature? No way he'd ever admit to such desires. But a base need to be around something that took away loneliness was ingrained in every person's DNA. That couldn't be helped he supposed. So with slitted eyes and a nearly disinterested frown, he stared down at the seemingly lost little dog.
Said creature was much too skinny, showing ribs and lack of muscle quite clearly. Dull brown eyes stared up at him and a shaggy tail wagged with barely-there energy. The poor creature was on a track for something it didn't deserve. Gin patted the little dog's head with thin fingers. The dog perked up immediately, his smile taking on a slightly softer edge, daresay. "We're both strays, an' strays gotta stick together. C'mon scruffy, let's go get ya somethin' ta eat." The fox [his grin gave him the look of one] attempted to usher the dog down the alleyway, hearing his new friend [since when?] bark. Cerulean hidden in shadow spotted a person perched at the other end of the alley. His smile widened to an amused stretch of thin skin. "This yer doggie? Ya ain' very kind if ya jus' left 'im out 'ere~"
And so began his interest in something else. But again, not that he would admit it out loud.
