Tarot Deep Dive - The Magician
Imagery
The Magician usually depicts a man with his arm raised up to the universe and the other down to the earth. He stands at an altar with each element and symbol of the suits present - a pentacle, sword, cup, and wand. An infinity symbol hovers above his head, while a snake bites its own tail around his waist.
Key Words
Upright: manifestation, determined, resourcefulness, power, inspired action
Reversed: confusion, manipulation, poor planning, ill intentions, untapped talents
General Interpretation
The infinity symbol and snake both symbolise unlimited potential, while the symbols on the altar show unlimited resources at the Magician’s disposal. With one hand pointing to the universe and the other to the earth, he serves as a conduit for spiritual and material energies and the ability to manifest his wishes and goals into the physical world.
Example Interpretation
In a single pull, the Magician may be interpreted as the querent having everything they need to begin a journey or project. They have the potential and resources to succeed at what they put their mind to. They only need to begin the process, tapping into their full potential rather than holding back or hesitating.
⚔️💧 War Water
Already quickly back with another water post, I'm hoping to make a master post once I'm done with all these posts of magical waters I use.
What is War Water?
War Water, also known as Mars Water or Iron Water, is an aggressive magical water used for hexing, curses, offensive protection, warding, return to sender, and to restore peace.
War Water, whenever it is from Hoodoo or European-folk magic, shares these traits and the ingredient iron.
Iron, also known as the metal of Mars, is commonly used in witchcraft to repel, contain, or harm fae, ghosts, malevolant spirits, and others. Iron is considered a sacred element of the Earth and because of it's association with Earth, it has a grounding and balanced aura to it. Hence why War Water restores peace.
Let's not forget that weapons, like that of swords, is typically associated to be made of Iron and steel. which is also why War Water is aggressive and offensive as a sword weapon.
How do I make War Water?
There's a few different ways to make War Water, but all of them share at least one common ingredient, iron. You can use any iron object in your War Water, the most common form is nails. Here's my War Water recipe.
Place iron nails, either whole or cut, in a glass vessel with a tight lid, it does not matter if they're already rusty. Cover it up with water from a storm preferably. Otherwise Holy Water, rain water, or tap water will do. You may also add urine* to it depending on the use.
It will have to rest for about a week, So make this water on a Thursday corresponding to a waxing moon, and end it on a Thursday. Thursday is associated with Mars, the God of war.
Where do I use War Water?
War Water is a great hexing magical water and protective agent. It removes disruptive forces from your life and will restore relaxation and peace in your environment.
It is also used as an offensive protective ingredient. Think of making a spell and lighting a black candle dressed in this water for protection. The spirits will go to this candle and essentially be spiritually cut by the nails and rust away, at least, that's how I like to think so.
It is also used for curses for it's aggressive nature.
*Typically I make the War War with just the nails but during a spellwork session, I pour a bit on the side and add a bit of urine to it. That way my War Water stays clean for future use, and I can grab it whenever I want. I add urine to be extra offensive and add some aggressive potency to it. It is not a must, It's something I like to do for certain spells.
Hathor is the embodiment of energy in its most kinetic forms. Her eyes glitter with excitement; Her tightly coiled hair bounces with every movement; Her lips pull back in a wide, joyful laugh that shakes Her bosom and belly. She is constantly in motion, existing in the vibrant now with no burden of the past or care for the future. She is the yes to every maybe, the why not? to every why? Her unfaltering dance is a celebration of birth and rebirth that smites isfet and nourishes ma’at. To those in Her graces She offers access to this well of pure, primal energy if only you are willing to open yourself to its possibilities. In order to embrace Hathor’s vivacious energy you must lay down your fear – fear of failure, fear of change, fear of the unknown – and leap into the moment. You cannot fall with Hathor at your side, only fly.

Square the Asc
Last one!
Note: If you have more than one of things, descriptions will be modified.
Sun square Asc: This can be a problematic aspect, but hardly the end of the world. These people do not always come across well to others. This is because of the square tension between their ego/personality and how they come off. In this case, signs can matter, as they help interpret the aspect.
Some people with this aspect can come across as pushy, insensitive, or having an “attitude.” Even if the Asc is in Pisces and the Sun is in Gemini or Sagittarius, there is still a pushy nature and attitude with them, although it may not be as fiery as someone who has an Aries rising and Cancer sun.
These people can be defensive when they do not get their way. This stems from childhood. On the plus side, this defense can help out if they are bullied as teens or children. They do not want to be seen as weak.
As they get older, they may have some sort of conflict with authority figures. These people resent being told what to do, but will need to learn to hold their tongue and attitude.
Moon square Asc: Like all Moon-Asc aspects, these people come across as sensitive and caring. They are the person that one can talk to about their problems since they appear sympathetic. They lend a good listening ear.
Since this is a square aspect, there is a tension. This stems mostly as an internal tension within themselves. They know they are emotional people, whether they actually verbalize their emotions or not. They are highly sensitive, but there is some sort of censorship as to how you express their emotions.
When they express their emotions, it is not always a true reflection of how they truly feel. This is because they do not want other people to disapprove of them.
Some people with this aspect lie about their true emotions and put on a false happy face. I think of the “Keep Calm and Carry On” posters that they had in England during the riots. Other people’s emotions come out inappropriately and they appear irrational. Other people with this aspect repress their emotions.
It is possible that in early childhood, these children were told emotions were inappropriate or were told to repress them.
Mercury square Asc: When these people speak, other people misunderstand them. Some are even offended. These people do not mean to offend people on purpose; often there is a conflict with their words and how they come off to other people.
This is not to say they are terrible at communication. They do not realize when they offend someone. People with this aspect very well may be good speakers, but there is a cloudiness or fuzziness when they communicate to other people. This can be true with someone who has Mercury in Gemini/Sagittarius and a Pisces rising. Other people may not know how to take what they say/do and their body language.
On a negative side, there is a lot of nervous energy within themselves. Some of these people may not be confident at all about how they communicate. They will need to learn how to relax and yes, other people can detect that!
There may have been issues focusing in school, or a late start in school. People with this aspect have potential for academic success. There needs to be discipline and focus.
Venus square Asc: These people are highly sentimental… about everything! They like to cling onto the past… past family memories, past loves, and objects that meant something to them in the past. ( There could be a tendency in hoarding, but look to other factors as well, like Moon stress aspects to Jupiter/Venus/or Neptune. )
This aspect does not make one ugly. Like all Venus-Asc aspects, there is a possibility that the native is a bit superficial when it comes to looks.He/she wants to always look good and wear the best clothes. On the other side, this aspect can manifest in a way that the native doesn’t care too much about physical appearance, but wants a beautiful home.
Love must be symbolic. “I love you” is important to them and it must be said. But if not, love letters are admired and usually kept for a long time. ( Until a family member forces them to burn the letters ). Old rings or old gifts are usually kept. And when in a relationship these are of symbolic signs of love.
They can be giving when it comes to relationships and this is a sign of their love to the other person.
On a more negative front, some of these people may make good friends, but may not always want to take on the responsibility of being a best friend. ( a.k.a. helping their friends when they are in need ). There is reluctance there unless they get something in return.
Mars square Asc: These people are assertive, but signs here do help the interpretations. Someone with a Cancer rising ( Aries Mars ) may come across as more defensive and a Pisces rising ( Sagittarius Mars ) may blow up when things were repressed for too long. Aries rising may come across as too aggressive, especially if they have a more cold repressed Capricorn Mars or a defensive pushy Cancer Mars.
Their actions, whether assertive or aggressive, annoy/offend other people, especially in relationships. In a debate or athletic event, this can be helpful. In fact, this aspect can denote success in a debate team or athletics. There is a lot of energy that needs to be released and sports/exercise/fitness can be one.
In relationships, it is easier for them to get angry rather than sulk and cry. It is a defense mechanism that was learned when younger. Crying denotes weakness and getting angry is not as weak. In women this can be an issue ( but also with men too. ) However, women are expected by society to be more tender, so women with this aspect are more likely to be reprimanded.
Home life was/is probably rushed, on the go, or one of the parents was like this. One of the parents might have had a temper problem, or perhaps the native was just an angry little kid who wanted his/her way all the time.
Jupiter square Asc: There may be issues regarding moderation and self discipline, whether it is eating, partying, shopping/spending money, and the likes. Or all three of them!
Like all Jupiter-Asc aspects, these people are good natured and like to have a good time. They make good friends because they are fun-loving and have a generous streak. If you’re in a situation, they’d be more than happy to help you out. ( As long as you do not take advantage of them. )
Sometimes it takes a hit to realize one is living live in over indulgence. These people know the importance of having money saved and why they should have it. When they are younger, parents are going to bail them out. If the parent does not bail them out, they will need to learn from their financial mistakes. Or partying mistakes, or whatever.
Saturn square Asc: Like all Saturn-Asc aspects, these people are mature and responsible. On the downside, there may be too much caution. Others may see this person as cold and indifferent, since they may turn down opportunities.
Some of these people are afraid to assert themselves or go after what they want because they are afraid of opposition. They move slowly and surely until they get what they want. This may stem from being knocked down as a child when they verbalized their goals.
During early childhood, the child’s parents may have been cool towards them. The child learned to be a perfectionist. They are all about the minor details in life.
There may be issues with being too frugal and not having enough fun with their money. They work hard and will need to act in moderation. ( a.k.a. spending SOME money every now and again ). It does not hurt to indulge in oneself… just not in excess!
In love, they may be cautious which can put others off. They will need someone who understands them and is patient. And it is understood that if they do not spend a lot of money on a gift, not to take it particularly personal. Sometimes a lover can see the native as cold and aloof at times.
Uranus square Asc: These people are original and independent. They resist any forms of repressing their independence, and some of them can be downright ruthless and abusive when others try to take freedom away from them. Fierce independence is the best way I can describe this.
While they like to march to the beat of their own drum, other people don’t like this too much. Especially the family, which is represented by both the 4H and 10H. As teenagers, they were probably in conflict with their family members. Perhaps they were seen as the “black sheep” or the weirdo. Whatever the case, the family tried to restrict freedom when the teenager wanted to do as he/she pleased.
In life, these people either met those who are unconventional, yet unstable. Or meet those they want stable friendships and relationships with, but the other people are flighty and unstable.
Positively, these people like to help others. They want a job/career where they can better society and the community. They see clearly through BS that is going on in the world and are idealistic ( but not in the Neptune illusion sense ). They have Vision and foresight, but personality will need to be moderated.
Neptune square Asc: Like all Neptune-Asc aspects, these people are creative and imaginative. However with the square aspect, they do not capitalize on their imagination. They’d rather just day dream.
On the downside, there may be issues asserting oneself, in friendships or at work. The native doesn’t like to do this because they are afraid of being put down. They are incredibly sensitive and get crushed easily. They do not like competition of any sorts unless they are confident in themselves.
Again, confidence will need to be learned. “Toughen up” is the thing that is best described here. Natives will need to find a creative outlet like art, music, or writing to help with their fertile imaginations.
There may be issues with finding a career they like best. This is because the native is afraid of failure, for starters, but also because they have a wide variety of interests. Once the person can nail it down to a couple ideas, they will be able to benefit and prosper. At any rate, experimentation with careers might be a good idea or take a couple classes to see what they like best.
Pluto square Asc: People with the square aspect between Pluto and the Asc want to be powerful forces in those closest to them, whether it be the family or a partner. They may be bossy or controlling in home life. There are control issues that will need to be worked on.
They feel as if they do not control the situation, they will be seen as weak. Often there is great stress when things do not go as planned. There may have been power struggles between the parents, or one of the parents. Additionally, another way this can manifest is that one of the parents was overbearing, manipulative, controlling, jealous, or any variation of those. The child might have felt like he/she was being controlled, so they may want to make up for it in adult life.
In relationships, they may have a tendency to control the partner. This can bring resentments from both sides. They feel that if they do not control the other person, he/she will control them. Again, go back to childhood… In this case, it’s best to work on control issues before entering an intimate relationships.
In jobs/careers, they can come across as overbearing and over importance. This can annoy superiors or people in authority.

When your mercury and mars placements are turned on and someone wants to start beef with you
hi there! i I hope you don’t mind me asking this, but i’m always seeing cancer rising descriptions and the general stuff will usually resonate with me but the physical stuff never does. i’m a little taller than average, lanky and scrawny, my face is more oval than circular, i’m not as well endowed as my friends as a woman, etc etc.
i was wondering if this may possibly have to do with mars squaring my ascendant or maybe neptune being in a trine with my ascendant? what are your thoughts?
Mars squaring your ascendant can definitely contribute to the physical traits that you mentioned, as well as Neptunian energy. Mars can add a masculine, powerful energy to your physical appearance, while Neptune can create a softer, more delicate and ethereal quality. The square aspect can create a more tension and conflict between these energies, which could manifest as inconsistencies or contradictions in your physical appearance. The trine aspect between Neptune and your ascendant can reinforce the Neptune-like qualities of your appearance and add a more spiritual and mystical touch.
i never thought i'd be a sticker person but i actually made 12 stickers
astro notes: venus ♾
Venus, in both alchemical and esoteric traditions, holds profound significance as one of the classical planets. Its symbolism extends far beyond its astronomical presence, delving into realms of love, beauty, balance, and transformation.
Venus is actually much more than just the planet of love and beauty; it's considered the embodiment of the soul's essence. Venus represents the substance of the soul, the harmony of beauty, and the talent for art. It symbolizes grace, intelligence in proportion and rhythm, and the principle of "relatedness."
This relatedness is crucial, as it's the expression of the soul of the world and the feminine aspect of Divinity. Venus acts as a vibratory field that resonates between different aspects of existence—between individuals ("me" and "you"), between the ego and the soul, and even between the unit and the universe.
When this resonance is ignited, it sparks love and reveals the soul's fire. This essence of Venus is always present, like an awaitingness for mutual "relevance" to emerge between seemingly indifferent parts of life. This relevance can manifest in various ways, such as when social interactions transform into genuine connections, when artistic endeavors become infused with deep feeling, or when nature's beauty evokes a profound response.
Venus symbolizes a latent field and flow of relatedness that permeates the fabric of the world. This concept is often symbolized by the infinity symbol (∞), which represents the structure of the Ajna center ruled by Venus, or by the number 8, associated with the soul principle and the Christ consciousness. This symbol of infinity reflects how the universe's life of relationship is the substance of its relative infinity.
The pentagram, or five-pointed star, also has deep symbolic significance in various esoteric traditions, including alchemy, astrology, and mysticism. Each point of the star represents one of the four elements – earth, air, fire, and water – with the fifth point symbolizing spirit or ether, the quintessence that unites the elements. The pentagram is often used as a symbol of protection, balance, and spiritual transformation.
Earth: Represents stability, materiality, and the physical realm.
Air: Symbolizes intellect, communication, and the realm of thought.
Fire: Represents passion, creativity, and transformation.
Water: Symbolizes emotions, intuition, and the subconscious.
The fifth point, symbolizing spirit or ether, represents the divine spark within each individual and the higher spiritual aspects that transcend the material world. Venus, as the harmonizing force, is associated with the pentagram because it represents the balance and unity of these elements. Venus's influence helps to bring these elements into equilibrium, fostering spiritual growth and transformation.
Taurus (April 20 - May 20): Venus is the ruling planet of Taurus, emphasizing qualities such as sensuality, stability, and material abundance. Taurus is associated with the earth element, reflecting Venus's connection to the physical world and its pleasures. Under Venus's influence, Taurus seeks comfort, security, and beauty in life, often valuing stability and the finer things in life.
Libra (September 23 - October 22): Venus is also the ruling planet of Libra, but here its influence is more focused on partnerships, diplomacy, and aesthetic pursuits. Libra is an air sign, reflecting Venus's influence on intellectual pursuits, social interactions, and the arts. Libra seeks balance, harmony, and beauty in relationships and the world around them, often valuing fairness, cooperation, and justice.
In both Taurus and Libra, Venus's influence enriches the symbolism of the pentagram, emphasizing the importance of balance, harmony, and transformation in both the material and spiritual realms. Venus's role as a ruling planet further highlights its significance in astrology and its impact on the human experience.
