I say “I don’t care” when something bad happens to me because I convince myself that’s true. I don’t allow myself to fully feel any emotions because I’m scared to get hurt. If I start to think something great is about to happen and then it doesn’t work out, why should I bother getting excited in the first place? I’m missing out on a part of life that’s worth experiencing.
