I interpreted the last lines as being about us fans. The fan speculation about their lives and their art can be either a good or bad thing depending on HOW they are speculating and what the intentions are behind the speculation. Us true fans (Betty in the love triangle) speculate and are invested in their lives because we emotionally resonate w/ their art, are rooting for them, and want to help them spark a revolution. We don’t just view them as products to be consumed or as zoo animals, we view them as HUMAN BEINGS and want them to be truly happy and free -> “What would you give to be freed?” // Glory and Gore: “Wide awake in bed, words in my brain ‘Secretly you love this, do you even wanna go free?’ Let me in the ring, I'll show you what that big word means” // “Baby, we're the new romantics, The best people in life are free.” The “fans” (Augusta/August girl) on the other hand are invested in the drama or spectacle of it all -> “You feed them your practiced drama and they all promise to stay. Ha! You choke back the bitter scoff every night. Every night a sea of different humans. And yet so many of them are the same.” // “Come one, come all, it's happenin' again, The empathetic hunger descends, We'll tell no one except all of our friends, We must know How did it end?”

I think this is one reason why they haven’t made the rabbit hole more obvious—they don’t want the wrong ppl falling down it (the weeds). They only want ppl who are true allies and really believe in the cause to fall down it (the wildflowers). You can’t force someone to emotionally resonate w/ your art. Either they resonate w/ it or they don’t. I think that’s what the 2-28-24 🫚 message was saying. “Trust only the song that resonates with the true recipe, for within its harmonies lies the essence of this creation. May the genuine melody guide your focus, for within its notes lies the true essence of this tale we weave.” This rabbit hole is like a filter that weeds out the ppl who aren’t serious about this revolution and are just trying to get inside info for selfish reasons -> “The seeds that take root may be thought a nuisance, but take heed Of what makes a wildflower and what makes A weed.”

In order to correctly piece together this impossible puzzle, you have to have experienced all of the same things as the tortured poets. So it’s not a typical puzzle that you can just think your way through, it’s one that you have to FEEL your way through. “Then the actors were hitting their marks And the slow dance was alight with the sparks And the tears fell in synchronicity with the score And at last, she knew what the agony had been for.” It’s only if you’ve had certain experiences that you can understand the emotion and intention behind certain songs, symbols, and metaphors. So slow dancing w/ the tortured poets = emotionally resonating w/ their art and the story they are trying to tell. “You may have told the story inside out and backwards, and it may well sink to the bottom of the sea or fall on deaf ears. It may wash up on a sunny beach in Florida, or a rocky shore in the northwest. Either way, someone somewhere will know about that recipe card. And the warm safety you cherish within your fence. And the heist that stole more from you than you ever planned on stealing from the museum. And most importantly, they will know about the human heart. The flawed, scarred, angry, grateful, nonsensical heart” (x).

In previous posts I explained how I think Oppenheimer (2023) fits into this puzzle (x). I believe that this movie is filled w/ many easter eggs, cryptic messages, symbols, and metaphors that can be cross referenced w/ other pieces of media that are a part of this rabbit hole. One of the metaphors that really stood out to me was “Can You Hear The Music.” During one scene in the movie, Niels Bohr tells Oppenheimer, "Algebra is like sheet music. The important thing isn't can you read music, it's can you hear it. Can you hear the music, Robert?” What Bohr was trying to explain is that truly understanding math isn’t about using rote memorization to learn equations and rules, it’s about being able to grasp it on an intuitive level. As someone who spends much of my time learning about math and science, this is very accurate. You can’t view math as a list of things to memorize and regurgitate, you have to view it more like philosophy. Math is essentially just philosophy but w/ symbols and quantities rather than words and phrases; it involves thinking very deeply about ideas/concepts and using logic and reasoning to make conclusions.

In the context of this movie, “Can You Hear The Music” is about understanding math intuitively, but in the context of this broader meta narrative that it exists in (the rabbit hole), this metaphor is about being able to intuitively feel your way through this “cross in poetry”/rabbit hole/puzzle by using emotional resonance. I linked an article earlier which does a great job of putting this idea into words: “It's like a symphony score, a reminder that the emotions you orchestrate in harmony with others, those moments of genuine connection, are the beautiful melodies that truly matter. It's a constant reminder that whether you're on or off the stage, whether at home or at work, each person is a part of this grand production called life. We may vary in the intensity of our emotions, but we all resonate with the same feelings.” I believe that meta narratives are what this rabbit hole is all about, and the point of learning the secret language/code that the tortured poets invented and falling down the rabbit hole is so that you can see yourself in the characters in these plays (like Oppenheimer and Wicked) within the play (🐇🕳️/revolution). These plays (the movies, shows, songs, poems, etc) are themselves about the larger play (🐇🕳️) they are in and that larger play (🐇🕳️) is itself about a larger play (LIFE bc life is a play). So by solving the puzzle and resonating w/ the story, you kind of become a movie star and the muse of these songs and poems (x). “…like the tiny boxes, one within the other, however many you discover there is always one more;” -> the boxes within boxes are the plays within the plays which means these movies, shows, songs, and poems that are a part of the rabbit hole are the gift/present that 🎁 anon was referring to -> The Blame Game poem: “You have tied up your emotions with a big fancy ribbon (🎁) and delivered the package to their doorstep with a card proclaiming: ‘This is you’re fault! You did this to me!’”

And other thing about that stunt, would you really think that Taylor would date a person who goes against everything she belives in? I mean there is a complete post about the stupid things he has done or said. -and yes, the girls know places they won’t be found. So in a few words: Kaylor is real.

it’s just wild to hear her as the primary example of the Boy Obsessed when verrrrry little of her work truly centres men. her writing is about appealing to feminine romantic ideals. her performances don’t even cater to the male gaze the way her peers’ do. when she’s sexy, it’s not for men. so. I mean. you tell me.

for me, that song into the red was such a kaylor proof in and of itself. the lyrics points to so much karlie. gold rush, the 'traitor' image that isn't true. this line- "she doesn't love anything for herself but for me she goes way in to the red" parallels her past interviews where she says her favorite thing about karlie is that she puts everyone's needs above her own. 🥺 that's when i didn't fall for the traitor narrative.

yes i absolutely love this and this kind of logic. taylor could go release a song that plays into this image that some swifties insist on for karlie but there is always this consistent hum in the background of taylor saying otherwise in indirect ways. it’s a little bit of a tough sell but i think it brings a lot of comfort for those of us long haulers

of course, i love it even more taylor when you give bigger more obvious and straightforward messaging that absolves karlie of the feud narrative because after all it ain’t 2017 no more but you already know that 🥴
