When that small gesture happened during that night, things have progressed even further. Both of you guys just crave for physical touch in a most subtle way - the way he pets your head, holding your hands, the way his shoulder needs to be close to yours while both of you guys are browsing through something at the store. The way he looks at you lovingly when you mentioned how proud you are when you got to finish the work that you were stressing about for the past month.
He takes a mental note of how you prefer drinking iced vanilla latte and eating ice cream regardless of how cold the weather is, he hates avocados but he remembers that one time you got upset when the waiter at the sandwich shop told you they’re out of avocados, he couldn’t get over how cute you were sulking as he pats your back.
However the status between your relationship still remains blurry because no one exactly confessed to each other. Yeah sure, you used to have a lot of guy friends in your life, you’ve always been a “bro” too, so could this just be platonic?
Your BFF gets a headache and threw a mini tantrum to you during your friday night outing - “Bros don’t hold hands with each other and look at you lovingly!” You fiddle your hands as you grab your beer and trying to be in denial that he was obviously interested in you.
Let’s just say you have trust issues, when you had your first heartbreak - you couldn’t even pinpoint what is true love anymore. You’ve devoted so much time for your old crush but ended up finding out that he went into another relationship. You thought all the moments you had together was real - but to him it was all platonic. You were too shocked when he suddenly hugged you as he got all excited to tell you that the girl he has been crushing on said yes to him - you had no choice to numb your feelings because you didn’t want to ruin the mood ‘I guess i was just a friend after all this while.’
“That happened long ago, you’re not overthinking and he was a dick. But now, it’s obvious this guy you’ve been talking about is SO into you too, even he’s not gonna say it - maybe you should lay out whatever you’ve been thinking. Do it before the situation gets worse” your friend hugged you before sending you off to the subway station.
You were so stressed out even thinking about it rn, you decided to distract yourself with some music.
Earphones in, you played a song on shuffle We - Dahee,
“우리 만나 let’s talk it out,
I just wanna be with you..”
You frowned and subconsciously sighed “Damn it, i’ll contact him, FUCK” shocking the ahjussi sitting beside you.

“Hey Namjoon, are you busy?”
“Heyy, i just finished filming an ad with the boys, whats up?”
“Uhh, im planning to visit this really nice flower market tomorrow, im not sure if you’re free-“
*Pls say no pls say no*
“I’m free earlier in the morning, ill ask my driver to send us there?”
You paused. Great. It’s happening
“Are you sure? I don’t want you to be in a rush, your schedule is probably packed- maybe next time we just-“
“I wanna see you and i haven’t seen you in weeks. Let me make it up to you.”
This is why you admire so much about him, he just gets you without even trying sometimes.
You smiled, “I wanna see you too, let’s meet up then.”

As the car arrived in the morning, the door opened and revealed his adorable dimpled smile, “I’ve missed you!!”
He welcomed you with open arms, you’ve embraced him so lovingly….. suddenly you can hear your bff’s nag echoing in your head “Bros don’t look at you lovingly!!!”
You shook your head, he glanced at you worriedly “You ok??”
You blushed “I’m ok, just got a lil morning headache!”
He softly touched your forehead, “You need anything? You sure?”
You touched his shoulder to reassure him that you’re okay, “Don’t worry about me”
That’s another sort of cute (also can be annoying) trait, he gets worried about you. He just generally gets super concerned over his loved ones. Just like that one time you haven’t been answering his texts for a week and later found out you were mentally in a rut because of work - he tried his best to take care and remind you that he’s always there for you- making sure you’re always alright. Sending your fav strawberry cake and iced latte to cheer you up despite how busy he was.

When you both arrived at the flower market, there weren’t a lot of people, just old people walking around and buying things. You were busy looking through the flower aile while Namjoon were busy taking pictures of the place.
You spot a pile of sunflowers and roses, you moved away from Namjoon to go see closer.
“Hey Y/N!”
You recognize the voice immediately, your first heartbreak.
You nervously replied, “hey..” you were more nervous not because of him, you were in fact more scared that people might find out you’re actually hanging out with namjoon. You don’t want that attention, you don’t want to burden Namjoon too.
“What brings you here early in the morning? Are you alone?”
“I, well” you started subtly scanning around for Namjoon and you saw him surrounded with Ahjummas trying to talk to him, you felt sort of “relieved” that he’s occupied with something.
“Planning to get flowers for my home, how have you been? I haven’t seen you in awhile” You smiled.
Your first heartbreak mirrored your expression, he smiled gently as he glanced down his shoes “I’m great, i’m pretty sure you’re doing well too”
The encounter brought you a wave of old emotions… you swear you heard he said, “I’m getting married this summer” it went blur when you heard the word “marriage” and everything becomes quiet, whatever he said becomes mute - you didn’t know how to react this situation.
You expression almost turned confused happy when you’re back to your senses, “I’m- i’m happy for you! Idk- what to- expect”
Suddenly you felt a hand holding your waist, “Sorry for making you wait, hello there!”
You were shocked that Namjoon came over because you were expecting him to hide from everyone- not letting anyone know or wanting rumours spreading around that he’s hanging out with a nobody.
Namjoon held you closely, your first heartbreak couldn’t exactly recognize who he was at first with the hat and mask he’s wearing. His eyes went wide as he registered the whole situation and looked at you and at Namjoon again, giving you an indirect gaze as if you can read his mind, ‘You hanging out with RM?!’
You were thankful that he acted normal and did not went fan mode on the spot. Both of them exchanged greetings, you couldn’t help but to hold his arm, making both of you guys look like a couple.
“I guess, i gotta go. It was nice seeing you again, Ill send you the invite too if you’re still using the same number”
He still remembers my number, funny.
“Yeah i still do, thank you” when he walked away, Namjoon was too curious as he noticed the tension and whispered to you innocently, “What invite?”
“Wedding invite” He didn’t say much but he can see a tinge of pain laced your eyes when you looked at him. He didn’t wanna go further, like damn, is he even allowed to let himself in to find out what happened between you both?
You tried to change the topic as he gave you a bouquet of dandelions, “Grabbed these over while you were talking to your friend, hope you like it”
Your cheeks flushed ever so redly and your heart immediately went on overdrive, you couldn’t help but to automatically peck his cheek. He was surprised but smiled goofily when you did that. You were even shocked with yourself when you did that-
“Omg what the- sorry- that was silly of me to do that.”
He replied immediately “No, see this as something that i wanna make it up to you for not seeing you for weeks, i miss you”
You hold his arm closely, “i miss you too”
