Headcanon: dyscalculia

Shuuhei has dyscalculia, but has worked to overcome it. This disorder contributed to his several failures on the Shin’o Academy entrance exams as well as him having fear of his zanpakuto’s Shikai. Taking lives isn’t the exact reason he dislikes his zanpakuto’s shape, it’s more so the fact that its use could result in unintended death or injury.

He really had to work hard at determining trajectories before even throwing Kazeshini. Tousen helped him most with that when he first joined the 9th Division, so he’s had several decades to combat this issue.

Headcanon: intimacy

Shuuhei doesn’t have any experience when it comes down to bedroom activities and things leading up to it. He has been so dedicated to his work that he hadn’t really made an effort to accomplish these things. Shuuhei also has incredible restraint and willpower, so getting him in bed is no easy task. He will need help when he and his partner get to that point, and he hopes that they won’t laugh at him or tease him for his inexperience.
