The Monell Rule is the most important racial justice issue youâve never heard of.
Just saw another article talking about âthe difficulty of the female orgasmâ and Iâm just gonna rant:
1) Studies surveying women have literally shown that women are much more likely to have an orgasm masturbating than during sex with a male partner. Studies have also shown lesbian couples report higher rates of orgasm during sex than heterosexual couples. Which is all to say that there is nothing wrong or difficult about the female body; men simply do not understand how to make women orgasm.
2) The majority of formats from which we take in sexuality- TV, porn, romance/erotica books, or that terrible high school sex ed class- do not show clitoral stimulation during sex, despite the fact that this is how the majority of women orgasm. So Iâm just gonna say, there may not be genital mutilation in the West but our society strives to ignore the clitoris out of existence. Itâs fucking crazy.
3) The whole discourse that the female orgasm is too hard or unobtainable just further justifies men being selfish during sex. See: The famous male-centricness of casual hookup culture. Where men are either legit uneducated or else its insinuated that if you canât get off in the same way they do, it isnât worth their time.
I hate society.
Let's talk about bad sex

You must know⊠surely, you must know it was all for you. You are too generous to trifle with me. I believe you spoke with my aunt last night, and it has taught me to hope as Iâd scarcely allowed myself before. If your feelings are still what they were last April, tell me so at once. My affections and wishes have not changed, but one word from you will silence me forever. If, however, your feelings have changed, I will have to tell you: you have bewitched me, body and soul, and I loveâI loveâI love you. I never wish to be parted from you from this day on.

But like, why isnât the nicobar pigeon more popular
Not me but the actual bird. Look at this!!Â
Look at that bird!!!
Heâs got it all!!
I just canât get enough
More about the bird, theyâre pretty big birds. They get to be about a pound for males and a little more for females and theyâre over a foot long from head to tail. Their feathers arenât actually rainbow, theyâre iridescent! Not a lot is known about them. They live on very remote islands in southeast Asia. These birds travel between islands looking for food. They donât mind human contact during the day, but they fly back home to the islands at night. They breed for life in places where people canât intervene, so itâs hard to learn more about them. Because we have such a hard time keeping track of them, we have no idea really how many birds are out there. They do think though that these absolutely stunning birds are Near Endangered. Theyâre also the closest living thing to the Dodo!!
Idk what yall may think, but I definitely think these beautiful birds need some more recognition.Â
Notes from strategy session for raid on Wetâsuwetâen nationâs ancestral lands show commanders argued for âlethal overwatchâ
The RCMP commanders also instructed officers to âuse as much violence toward the gate as you wantâ ahead of the operation to remove a roadblock which had been erected by Wetâsuwetâen people
Police established a âmedia exclusion zoneâ, blocking reporters from accessing the area. They took care to hide their carbine rifles on the approach to the roadblock because the âopticsâ of the weapons were ânot goodâ, according to one of the documents.
The documents also show close collaboration between the RCMP and TC Energy: police officers attended company planning sessions and daily âtailgateâ meetings, and were privy to CGLâs legal strategy.
The RCMP were prepared to arrest children and grandparents: âNo exception, everyone will be arrested in the injunction area,â a document reads. Another makes reference to possible child apprehension by social services â a troubling disclosure given the violent history of residential schooling in Canada and the disproportionate number of Indigenous children currently in the child welfare system
Like most Indigenous people in British Columbia, the Wetâsuwetâen have never relinquished their land to the Canadian government by treaty, land sale or surrender.
In a 1997 ruling, the supreme court of Canada determined that aboriginal land ownership had never been given up across the Wetâsuwetâenâs 22,000 km sq of territory.
The 2015 Anti-Terrorism Act, Bill C-51, sanctions the criminalization of Indigenous environmentalists by enhancing surveillance and legal powers against any potential interference with Canadaâs âcritical infrastructureâ or âterritorial integrityâ. Land defenders such as Freda Huson have been identified in RCMP intelligence reports as âaboriginal extremistsâ.
Lets all take a real good look at the situation here. Because thereâs only one group of people with an invading army ready to commit government funded mass murder and child abduction, and itâs not the Indigenous peoples. But oh yeah. Weâre always the terrorists right?Â
Anyway, you can visit this website to see how you can give your support in various ways, including donations for their legal funds, which are crucial to maintain. There is also specifically a GoFundMe for the Gidimtâen camp.
Also a reminder that Justin Trudeauâs Liberal Party of Canada voted with Stephen Harperâs Conservatives to pass Bill C-51 before coming into power.
in addition to the fact that people just have different natural rhythms, a big reason why we canât seem to go to bed as early as we âshouldâ is that nighttime is, for many of us, our safest and most fulfilling time of day. we donât have to work, we wonât be contacted by bosses or insurance companies or collection agencies or other suffocating life business⊠weâre likely only to be contacted by our friends, or by no one at all. night time is release; itâs ours. we can rest or recreate. we can do things we actually want to do. who would choose to cut that short?? just to usher in the next morning when our lives are not our own again? nighttime is precious and nothing could be more normal than the desire to embrace this
So, yâall remember that post that said animals in urban areas slowly became nocturnal to avoid encounters with humans? Apparently that includes humans.
