The tragedy of Ursula in episode 7 having already negated both Amaranta and Arcadio, but standing in front of them against the soldiers anyway cause her first instinct was still to protect them :/

Thinking abour Remedios La Bella... everyone thinks of her as dimwit and an ultraterrestrial creature. Men try to take advantage of her but she does not care and does her own thing and everyone who tries to harm her eventually gets cosmically punished. She is seen as a weird creature but Aureliano recognizes that she is not stupid she simply has freed herself from the buendia brand of insanity. And this is why while everyone else in her family pretty much dies in misery she not only avoids that, but straight up doesnt die and gets raptured to heaven herself
