There is SO much to unpack with Evermore, but one of the thoughts that keeps popping back into mind: Champagne Problems feels like an alternative New Year’s Day. The piano of the songs are clearly reminiscent of each other, but the lyrics! In NYD she’s helping him clean up the remnants of happiness from the floor, while in CP the wreckage on the floor was caused by her. 🥺💙 @taylorswift
