happy iron lung day to all who celebrate
IRON LUNG (2026) dir. Markiplier
I'm at a :.|:; for words.
Just came home from a dinner party with the friendgroup at which several people kept saying "Ask Pedro" or "Pedro will know" and I was terrified that they were referring to an AI like Claude but no, thank fuck, they were referring to a cardboard cutout of Pedro Pascal that someone left upstairs and who has been designated a kind of patron saint status in the household.
Girl you are an obligate carnivore
its so scary making plans with new friends. what if i suggest something stupid and we have a terrible time and they find out im a fraud and not a real human being
hands down the funniest part of V-Rising is that no one likes the male body build but the devs havent once even hinted at changing it and i think thats because of a commitment to the bit
I play a vampire game called V Rising and they're having a huge update soon and oughghgh the aestheticsssss
the paid DLC decor is so Slaanesh (it can be a bunch of colors besides purple too)
especially the cosmetic armor
i absolutely cannot wait aughhughguughghgh
Definitely my favorite of the DLC packs
Solidly my favorite thing about Mira Grant's writing style is the interspersal of excerpts from outside the immediate storyline throughout the books. Every chapter, every division is punctuated by journals, articles, interview transcripts, news reports, poetry, etc. All from within the story universe, just not the continuing narrative or even timeline
It's so good. It builds the worlds' richness, cutting the inevitable narrative myopia. Sometimes they're from sources that are referenced in the main text, sometimes not. Sometimes they're a reliable narrator... sometimes not. It's fantastic on an initial read, hitting some of the same notes that make found footage and in medias res so compelling, and then even better on the rereads where you can better slot them into the whole spread of the story. I just... I love this
Curiosity is what it looks like when you’re in love with the world
Mira Grant, Symbiont
None of God’s creatures is an ‘it,’ even if they’re not a boy or a girl or a mammal or a pretty bird. Call them ‘he’ or she’ and be a little wrong, but never take away their individuality like that.
Mira Grant - Parasite
Sherman Lewis (from Parasite by Mira Grant)
I am alone in the dark, in the hot warm dark, and nothing here is supposed to change; change is the antithesis of the dark. Change is forever, it cannot be undone. Even if things are returned to their original state, they will still have been changed. They will still remember the act of changing. Change is the great destroyer.
Mira Grant - Parasite
Love when a running gag is actually not a gag
Parasite by Mira Grant is the true origin of the "Would you still love me if I was a worm" meme. I said what I said.
