A bit of D&D character art...

Nasa AZURE Mission Creates Artificial Auroras To Study High Altitude Winds
Whoa… so pretty…
This D&D game is intense.
We created temporary truces with giant cats that wanted to keep us as pets (or eat us).
We were almost eaten by the sky (our characters had never seen a tornado before).
My character lost her horse to a giant trap-door spider. She's not taking it well and that session had me in tears.
"Farewell, Spirit" is a 9"x12" inch colored pencil illustration by me, featuring my original character & her horse.

And he’s Italian!
I get a bit wild when I create. Later, this means I find watercolors and doodles stashed away in piles. When I find them I wonder why I never worked on finishing them.
I love the light in this watercolor.
More Critical Role doodles... Taliesin Jaffe's characters in season two are so different, and yet so very much one coin (at least the case around episode 40). Because of that, it seemed very appropriate to doodle Mollymauk Tealeaf and Caduceus Clay as a Janus figure, one looking to the future, and one to the past.
teaching children that they are allowed to walk away and cool off if they are feeling overwhelmed might literally save their life as teens/adults
I am a preschool teacher.
This is my “alone zone.”
At any time of the day, if my kids are feeling stressed, they can go here to cool down. There’s stress toys, silly putty, bubbles, sensory bottles…there’s books and headphones to block out the loud noises.
The only thing they have to do is “check in” by putting their picture on which emotion they’re feeling so I know how I can help them when they’re ready.
Kids. Need. Space.
Kids. Need. Coping. Mechanisms.
Not. Time-outs.
And the sooner we as adults teach them that, the better off they’ll be as they grow.
@ all my shittily developed adult pals, if someone is walking away to cool off, kindly dont follow them and continue to harass them
My SO and I have been playing D&D and other role playing games for about 17 years, but we'd never watched Critical Role until this year.
When we catch up with season 2, maybe we'll start binge watching season 1... But right now I'm loving Nott & Caleb... Really... all of the Mighty Nein.

I love how the little black one is just being a spectator
My co-player in my latest D&D game is an unknowing sorcerer. She thinks she has a pet snake, and he lives in her coin pouch. "Jory's Lair" is a 12"x18" colored pencil doodle.
I used to paint exclusively with acrylics because they don't require the ventilation oils do. Now I dabble with them; and most of the dabbles are kind of surrealistic, experimental things.
Blue October - I Hope You’re Happy
One of my oil paintings from 2018. I only get to do these in the summer right now.

My current D&D character has a raccoon for a familiar. "Olly's Bath" is a colored pencil doodle on 18"x12" paper. #originalart #dungeonsanddragons

Mmmm. These inspire some dungeons & dragons ideas.
