I wholeheartedly believe that standing in an empty field during a thunderstorm would solve all my problems
The moment I started relating to august by taylor swift, I knew I was fucked
i will be living for the hope of it all until further notice. thank you for your understanding
sodium chloride air, and the iron oxide on your door…
it’s time to play august by tswift for an entire month straight
mentally i live in the bridge of august by taylor swift BECAUSE "remember when i pulled up and said get in the car"?!????!?!!??? "and then cancelled my plans just in case you'd call"?!?!!?????!? "back when i was living for the hope of it all"!!!! like ma'am you did not have to destroy me like that
Normalise liking poetry because you like the way it sounds and art because you think its beautiful. You don’t have to understand the deeper meaning of something to appreciate it - poetry is bloody difficult to analyse and art requires an extensive knowledge of movements and artists to properly get - so please just wonder around art galleries and decide which pieces you’d buy if you could, and read out lines of poetry simply because they have a nice ring to them.

The fact that people found out about this song now and it's been out since 2016. Whenever I listened to starboy, the album, I always thought that the world have no idea what they are missing on. But now because of reels and tiktok this song is so famous and everybody knows about it, which... kinda... makes me mad? I feel like people never actually appreciated this song. They slept on it and now suddenly everybofy loves it because it's trending. And not just this song, I feel the same way for many other songs and artists who got famous on reels or tiktok, years after the release. I won't deny that these platform helped many artists to be discovered and to be recognized, but at the same time it seems like people don't genuinely appreciate the art and the talent and it's all just for a trend. Like how suddenly so many people were like "oh, I love I Was Never There by The Weeknd" after it started trending but the song has been out since 2018 and they never actually appreciated the song before.

one thing i’ve realized is that it is extremely important to value platonic relationships over romantic relationships.
friendships and connections with your family members last longer and are more stable than someone you have been dating for 4 months. it almost makes me upset how society has conditioned us to believe that we need to ‘find love’ to be happy when we had it right in front of us this whole time. it shows how truly ungrateful some of us are, especially some of us who want to get into a romantic relationship for validation, out of insecurity, and the fear of being alone; or people who leave friendships as soon as they find the ‘the one’
It's always: "wanna hang out" but never "hey let's create a secret society and read literature and poetry"
