this is probably the worst place to give this take but i think that if you’re asexual due to medical/chemical/hormonal etc reasons (and you could theoretically be “cured”), you still count as asexual. like i don’t think the “why” matters very much.

I mean I'm a lesbian due to medical/chemical/hormonal reasons (used to be bi, grapefruit-sized ovarian cyst exploded, no attraction to men since), people get very invested in the idea of their sexuality as 100% completely unchangeable. And I'm sure that's true for some people, but it's very silly of them to say that when sexuality is *potentially* changeable, the present state doesn't actually exist. That's like saying someone isn't a real [job] because they could theoretically get a different job.

i feel so defensive and protective of people with ARFID like if i had a disorder that made my brain register 90% of food as poison for no reason and i had a bazillion people on the internet constantly calling me a manchild who needs to just grow up and stop being a picky eater i would start killing people

#I have arfid #not diagnosed but I'm pretty sure I have it #it hits me half way through eating sometimes when suddenly my safe food triggers my gag reflex but I'm still hungry #I just can't eat #and I sometimes run out of safe foods #and I can't eat anything #and I won't get hungry which can also be a symptom #and I can go days without eating #some weeks I live on a cup noodle a day #ya know what helped me the most to manage my arfid though????? it wasn't being forced to deal #with my gag reflex and try to force food down and just not be picky #it was legitimately medicinal cannabis #I have to be stoned to eat most of the time #arfid is just as serious and debilitating as any other ed #and is so far from just being picky #I have an extremely open approach to trying new foods #I just can't eat most of the new foods I try #or can only eat a few bites of food I like because I'm very sensitive to strong flavours #so yeah. arfid sucks #ed #eating disorder #tw food

AGGGHHHHH I’m so pissed off

I found a neat looking game on steam. 90% text-based colony sim with a little bit of tasteful ASCII art. All the gameplay revolved around typing commands in a terminal. And the theming was 100% my thing

Sunk two hours into it and genuinely loved it.

Then I checked out what else the developer made—

Like, twelve reskins of the same low-quality shovelware game, all with colorful AI-generated graphics, all released within a month of each other, with the game I played randomly slotted in between.

And now I’m disgusted that I liked something that’s now so clearly AI garbage— I immediately lost interest when I found out, and now I feel pretty betrayed

Anyway, I guess what I’m saying is that you have to be prepared for the day generative AI makes something that you like.

Importantly 👆you have to hate it regardless

Belphie is in constant need of mental stimulation, so there's not really a wrong way to interact with him. you can pick him up, flip him about, and put down him down facing the opposite direction, and he'll just go "hey, that was novel!" and approach you for it again.

I also think that the strength gap is at least partially manufactured women would in fact be stronger overall if little girls were encouraged to do physically taxing games and activities and eat their fill while they’re growing vs having to constantly diet and be sedentary indoors (or god forbid do intense cardio while under-eating). The amount of adult women honestly afraid to lift weights bc they think they’ll get bulky as though bulking isn’t a full time job that athletes have to spend all their time on and anyone on earth gets shredded from just using their adult muscles for their intended purpose, girl your bone density 🥀

Okay so actually this is me I am this. Like I'm trans masc, sure. But I haven't started medical transition. I had a very active childhood. I started working at a cafe at age thirteen and was moving out massive roast meats and crates of milk since then. I do archery. I am not bulky. I'm built scrawny as shit. I'm not as strong as someone who regularly works out for strength training. But every time I pick up something remotely heavy around someone I'm not out to, I get "WOW YOURE SO STRONG FOR A WOMAN." I had one participant insist that 'females should not be that strong, it's unnatural'. Its so disheartening
