He is literally Chris Evans as a police officer and granted the movie isnt that highbrow sort of stuff but that being said it's a damn good movie with an amazing cast like I mean, Keanu Reeves (and we all know that man is amazing in everything), Hugh Laurie, Christopher Robert Evans, Terry Crews, Forrest Whitaker and so many more amazing castmates.

If you haven't seen it I suggest and highly recommend that you do it is a bit gory at times but it is worth it or see chris as a little bit of a bad boy. So just do yourself a favor and watch it

ALWAYS GOING BACK TO "TWO CUT LINES" and the whole team understanding that Buck would prefer to die with Eddie than be left behind having failed to save someone. When he saw Buck's face after he got out, Eddie knew it too.

To Buck, wanting to die for someone is the only way he knows how to love them, because he thinks that is all he has to give, to show he should be kept around (as a body, as spare parts;) His parents taught him this, even though he didn't know about Daniel. Buck intrinsically knows what it is to exist having "failed" to save someone and it is his deepest fear to have that happen again.

Eddie saw that Buck would rather die with him than fail at dying for him and it fucking terrified him and also it terrified him to think that Buck and Christopher, two halves of his heart, could be split up if his stopped beating and so he changed his will, legally forced Buck to stay and he made sure that they can never have two cut lines but now Buck has to love Chris and Eddie by staying for them instead of destroying himself for them...

Sometimes I lowkey kinda want S8 to begin with a timeskip.

Like, very first episode, we open with a still shot of Eddie’s empty living room. It’s evening. It’s quiet. And then there’s a thump against the front door.

Cue the rattle of keys in the lock, and in stumble Eddie and Buck. They’re kissing, yanking at each other’s clothes, bumping into furniture. Buck barely manages to kick the front door closed behind him before Eddie’s pulling him along across the living room, hands still roaming.

The camera remains stationary as they somehow manage to fumble their way from one end of the shot to the other – from the front door on the right, to the hallway leading to Eddie’s bedroom on the left.

They disappear from view. There’s the sound of a door opening, followed by the groan of bedsprings – a surprised laugh, as if one of them pushed the other down onto the bed.

And then the picture fades to black before transitioning to a shot of the app bay of the firehouse, with the text “Two months earlier”.

And that’s how we get to spend the rest of the season finding out how the hell Buddie happens.

one of the craziest things about buddie is the fact that their divorce era was like 1. extremely brief and 2. roughly a year after they met. like these guys became so spiritually and practically entwined within the span of a year that eddie called buck out for abandoning him and their son and buck ultimately AGREED that he had a responsibility to them and he let them down. within a YEAR (during like half of which eddie was still married) they had forged this undefined life partnership and buck was already filling a parental role in christopher's life and they both Knew and Acknowledged this. like are you KIDDING MEEEEEE
