they put Copilot AI in Windows 11 Notepad app and I guess had to add Markdown support to Notepad to make that work or something? anyways Notepad has to have a network connection for Microsoft's AI assistant now and so for the last 9 months this has been a thing people could send a .txt file with a hyperlink that can download and run whatever malware you want to infect their computer with. usually Windows will give you an alert whenever an app tries to execute a file in the background but there's no alert like this for Notepad bc it's Notepad. also antimalware usually doesn't look at Notepad for this type of thing bc it's Notepad. so there's just this wide open attack vector that's there now that no one is prepared for bc we're being sold an AI assistant to write phone numbers and shit in a little white box for us

i can’t stop thinking about the time my roommate and i asked our insanely ripped neighbor brian who wore flip flops year round and sunglasses on the back of his head for help with carrying a solid wood dresser up to our apartment. he wanted to get his son who was home from college to come help too so he takes out his phone and goes, “siri, call christian christianson” and turns speaker phone on while we stand there sort of stunned by the name and after a few rings cc answers, “what the hell do you want” and brian just hangs up without responding and is all, “kids, am i right” then carries the dresser up four flights of stairs pretty much by himself. we offered him a six pack of rainier as thanks which he immediately opened in our kitchen and downed 2/6 beers in 10 mins while telling us about his 1989 dodge ram 1500 he was trying to get his son to restore with him to no avail. really nice guy. we never saw his son before he went back to school but any time i ask my roommate for help with lifting stuff or reaching something he says, “siri, call christian christianson” and we reminisce about brian and his truck.

it's weird that so few people seem to know that mormons largely run the troubled teen industry. ppl will imply that I'm religiously intolerant when I badmouth mormonism and it's like well. they child trafficked me. so. lol

so I try to keep my blog lighthearted but I suppose I have my ex-mormon tag in my pinned post for a reason.

I grew up mormon, and they absolutely 200 percent view children as the property of their parents. Kids are taught to submit, to obey without question, and to keep a smile on. Hell, I remember learning a fucking song that goes something like this:

"f you chance to meet a grown, do not let it stay. Quickly turn it upside down and smile that frown away.

No one likes a frowny face. Trade it for a smile. Make the world a better place by smiling all the while."

I could go on forever about how this type of shit hurts people and especially kids, but I'm sure those lyrics will speak for themselves. I remember having this sung at me when I was anxious or scared or mad because I was an undiagnosed autistic kid in the middle of a meltdown.

The Mormon church also has a fun habit of taking kids starting at 12 years old and asking us about whether they masturbate or have sex. Every 6 months. Behind closed doors, and when I was that age NO PARENTS PRESENT.

They also have a history of covering up and even encouraging child abuse (ask me how I know). And I was "lucky"- some of the parents I knew of followed that book To Train Up a Child (Google it if you wanna lose your appetite real fucking quick)

Think about that and then think about this church funding an industry that kidnaps kids in the dead of night.

Fuck the Mormon church- and fuck Dr Phil while I'm at it since he promotes this shit.
