Been thinking a lot about TADC and how Cosmo fits into it so I'm just gonna dump some stuff here

a) Cos arrives pretty soon after Pomni, like, possibly before ep 2 on the timeline

b) TADC takes place in 2017

c) Find The Keys was released in 2017, and is what turned The Stupendium from a hobby to a channel that people actually watched

Therefore, Cosmo would have joined the circus either before or slightly after the release of Find The Keys. So, there's a few things that could have happened here, in my opinion:

a) Find The Keys was released, then Stupes stumbled upon the circus shortly after - maybe right after, so FTK would have blown up without them knowing about it because they would be stuck in a digital world, or maybe they had enough time to get excited about the views

b) FTK had not yet been released by the time they stumbled into the circus - they were still just an animator with a songwriting hobby

or, my personal favorite, c) they released FTK, and it performed about as well as their other videos, as they expected, and then quit doing youtube, as they planned. They just, moved on and kept doing... their job... Until their encounter with a strange headset that transports them to a colorful magical digital world.

I've been thinking a bit about this, post-finale.

In the finale, everyone's real lives started picking up outside the circus. Most people's dreams seem to start coming true, and they all become close friends. Scenario C here is actually the least fitting with the themes here. Scenario B or A would make most sense here, as it turns out their songwriting hobby lets them completely change their life in a way they prefer.

Glancing at the posts in the near-final scene, I can come up with a vauge timeline. The most recent posts we see are in late 2017, and I believe the earliest is in mid 2017, with the Triangle Bar report which states that the bar opened "almost a year ago", so probably around mid-maybe-late 2016. I only realised after figuring this out that this doesn't acually help me figure anything out I don't think

What I'm trying to do is place Cosmo entering the circus prior to September 2017, when FTK was released, so that it can fit scenario A (either way, in the ending slideshow, we would get to see the success of FTK, but unfortunately not much of the aftermath, only about up to Way Deeper Down. This era is still pretty big for them regardless though; even if they aren't as huge as they will be soon, they're still moving up.) But in order for it to have that impact, they need to be unaware of its success prior to the slideshow. So, they need to have entered the circus prior to its release.

Did they though? Ehhhh... Cosmo entered the circus what seems to be right after Pomni, but we don't know what month Pomni entered the circus to the best of my knowledge. Estimates seem to say around two months. That would fit close to perfectly with the FTK release date. It's a pretty small window of time, but it would just about work.

There's a potentially bigger problem here than the timeline, though. TADC is St. Louis based. The Stupendium lived in London. That's pretty far away. Even if they had a reason or desire to go to St. Louis around Sep. 2017, the chances of a tourist stumbing upon a brain-scanning headset like this seem infinitesimal. Besides, they wouldn't get to be in the irl circus friend group

The Toybox has become my first song I've listened to knowing that it was written by Stupendium.

One day I was thinking of something to gift for a friend of mine who dragged me into all of this (I'm still so grateful for this). Then I remembered one of my hobbies being making something that was in the game/series into real life. Well, In my situation, it was a music video.

After my very first work the choice was obvious. I've had to make little Sing-along! Stupes with a box.

It's just a fun easter egg, I like when worlds have a little thing like a company logo that just pops up whenever there's a machine thing, cause that's just a thing that exists in the world. It's kind of cozy, honestly, its just like a small string between these worlds to connect them

The name, by the way, is a reference to the real life Nick Henderson, Stupes' set builder

Also this is completely unrelated but I just found out that Neath! and Divide! have official (ish. idk that you can really have official acronyms like it's just. that's what they use) acronyms

Also unrelated to anything I've mentioned apparently Sing-Along was going to get a reference in Poppy Playtime Chapter 3 but it didn't end up making it in which kind of reminds me of the time that Stupes made a song to promote two-point campus in exchange for being in the game and then that fell through so they never even got to be part of the game but it did give us Can't Teach This which is a banger imo I need to be getting out of here it's past my bedtime
