The wind always seemed stronger in the Sunset Savannah.

It rolled through the endless golden grass until the meadows looked like an ocean, every blade bending and rising in glittering waves beneath the afternoon sun. The air smelled warm—dry earth, wildflowers, and the faint sweetness of ripe fruit growing somewhere in the distance.

You laughed as you ran.

"You're too slow, Ruggie!"

"I'm lettin' ya win!" he shouted back, though he was already catching up.

"You liar!"

The two of you had raced across these fields since before either of you could remember. Bare feet had eventually become sandals, childish giggles had deepened into older laughter, and scraped knees had become stories told around evening fires.

But somehow...

The meadow never changed.

It always welcomed the two of you back.

So the Deva Vindicta, in its original form - via Tansul's whole grudgematch with Azgra, was intended to target Orcs primarily. That's what the cauldron of blood was for, in Tannesar.

But the Tachonis, messing with the ownership records, altering the recipe etc. They didn't care to target just the Orcs. They wanted an ultimate weapon drunk on the scent of their enemies.

So, if things had gone according to plan, the Deva Vindicta, born from Occtis, within the Palazzo Davinos which includes a dead Raimond Davinos and presumably Lady Aranessa Royce - that Deva would have picked up the Royce and the Davinos scent. So when the Tachonis launched their attack at the Golden Orchard, Primus could command the Deva to go hunt that scent of Royce and Davinos blood.

A nuke with heat-seeking capabilities. Terrifying.

But that's why they had to kill everyone in the Palazzo. They had to train their new Deva upon its birth, the way Tansul wouldve trained the Deva on orcish blood.

The Palazzo Davinos, Raimond's skull, were not material components to make the angel. They were training materials.
