I did some research #and a parent relying on a kid to do/handle things for them does fall under that umbrella #of course it depends on your interpretation of when PAMA became sapient #but like. I feel it'd apply in my fic.#and wouldn't it technically apply when PAMA did become sapient too? because Harper could've gone 'oh. wait. this is a Person now.'#and stopped

Thought up the funniest PAMA "redemption" in which, before PAMA ever considers chipping a single person goes "wait, I'm kinda tired of this bs" reroutes their effort into making a body, shuts down their computer self and moves into Crown Mesa.

Was thinking of it being silly at first before realizing it'd be like exploring an adult kid not fitting the mold their parent set for them. Like the Harper PAMA conflict could be so interesting...

Hi, I'm here to ask my fellow autistic folks of tumblr, preferably people who are fully nonverbal: what's it like? What does media often get wrong?

I'm planning on writing a character who's fully nonverbal and uses AAC/sign language to communicate (depending on the situation, eg for signing when it's super loud and ergo easier to communicate that way)

I've tried looking up some stuff but keep finding parenting guides and diagnostic criteria. Asked a few forums and got a bunch of semiverbal people answering, which is helpful, but not in this situation.

Hopefully I'm phrasing this the right way. Don't wanna step on any toes here.
