Children are wild

Today one of my students threw a stuffed animal across the room and it landed directly in a plate filled with paint

And I had it narrowed down to a few kids but no one would confess so I made them all put their toys away and have five minutes of quiet time to Reflect on Their Behavior

During that five minutes of relative silence, this group of three year olds INVENTED A NEW CLASSMATE, named him, and unanimously blamed him for throwing the toy across the room

There was not a single weak link, they were all ride or die

This happened to me last year in the kindergarten class I was volunteering at. When three students came in from lunch, they didn’t have their winter coats, which I guess we didn’t notice in the hustle and bustle, However, when it was time for them to go home, we had to find the coats. It was a long weekend and rather cold out, so this was the only chance to find the coats for 4 days. Myself, the teacher, and the TA for a disabled student tried hard to extract what happened to the coats. All three of them swore it was an older sister of one of them, whom they gave a name to as well. Thinking we had an answer, we called the secretary’s office and had them page for this older sister. Then the father came in to pick up his child. We asked him-- this older sister did not exist. The kindergartner at hand was an only child. Yet all three students still were swearing it was this imaginary sister.

Eventually the coats appeared, really out of no where. A secretary dropped them off, nobody knows where they were or who really had them, but I was amazed at the commitment of all three 5-year-olds.

Merry Christmas everyone! I failed to take part in the Exchange this year…I forgot to log on to this account for a little while, and I missed the deadline. I was disappointed, so I decided to write something anyway, for anyone to enjoy!

First Christmas with the Branson’s

Backtrack several years, as Sybil and Tom experience their first Christmas as a married couple together, going through the ups and downs of living up to Sybil’s family’s expectations (while Sybil is pregnant with their first child!).

Merry Christmas everyone! To @inceptionkitties, I couldn’t really get good pictures of Cosmo or Behemoth-- they’re more excited in general about Christmas, but I’ll try and get some shots of them soon.

I took these seperately with Sookie. I have a very close bond with her, and am her favourite human. All the Christmas hubbub upsets her delicate sensitivities, soon I gave her her Christmas presents in private when she was calm.
