Help a black trans man out

Hey guys it’s me Stevie your local 18 y/o black bisexual trans man. 4 months ago I moved to NY from FL for school and HRT and while I was successfully able to enroll and start in beauty school and testosterone I was kicked out of my grandmother’s house due to my family’s transphobia. It was a very toxic and violent housing situation to begin with and I didn’t feel safe while I was there in the first place. I’m now rooming with my S/O and have another possible housing option in the works but due to some issues that have come up I’m going to need to leave as quickly as possible. I’m unemployed at the moment and still need means of providing for myself ( especially with metro costs cover transportation ) as well as he copious list of expensive beauty tools I need to purchase for class which we were told would be provided for us but that was a huge lie :’-). ANYONE that says Shonen magazines don’t have enough boys that cry simply doesn’t read shonen magazines. Shonen Jumps’ entire ethos is based on effort and friendship, and the characters tend to have really strong emotions. Deku cries, Naruto cries, Luffy cries, all the fuckin JoJos cry, Kenshiro cries.

And that’s just from Shonen Jump, there are so many other series that are very mainstream with this same level of emotional maturity.

It is not at all uncommon for a character to massively break down and the other characters support them and communicate that it’s something that needs to happen, the emotion need let out.

There are a lot of iffy elements in shonen magazines but the emotional maturity of the protagonists is a constant.

The real originator of this was Hokuto No Ken / Fist of the North Star’s Kenshiro, all the way back in 1984. He showed readers that in a world that was ruled by gangs and villains trying to do more evil than each other, that it was okay to cry for those who were hurt.
