Success & Prosperity Cinnamon Poppet

Specifically made this for a new job I’m starting soon! 

What You Need: 

Yellow or gold candle- money 

Green candle- good luck, money   

Black candle- protection (from negative thoughts of failing or self-doubt in this case)  

Any crystals that you associate with protection, courage, money, and intuition 

½ cup all purpose flour- abundance, rebirth/new opportunity, harvesting rewards  

¼ cup salt- purification, protection 

6 tablespoons cinnamon- luck, money, success, awareness, protection, love (who knows who you’ll meet at this new job..)  

6 tablespoons water- great chance to use moon water, preferable charged in phases leading up/close to the full moon  

Basil- luck, money  

Some of your hair or other taglock of yourself 

Coins 

Instructions: 

Set up the space by gathering your ingredients, cleansing in your preferred way, lighting your candles, and setting your crystals as preferred. 

In a bowl, mix the dry ingredients first, then the water and mix again:

Mix counterclockwise while focusing on dispelling your fears of not succeeding, self-doubts, imposter syndrome, and any other negative thoughts that others may have sent your way that could block your success.

Then mix clockwise while envisioning your success, attracting money, confidence, quality of life, luck, maybe love, and a smooth transition to the newness of it all.

Knead the dough until it feels closer to play-dough. Imagine your intent is pouring out from your hands into the dough.

Cut your dough into a person shape, and add the hair/taglock (I personally actually only used half of the dough and saved the other half)   

Preheat the oven to 300, then bake for around 30 minutes (flip it over in the last 5 minutes)- it’s done when it’s practically rock solid 

Lay it to cool, you can put wax and sprinkle the basil on top, and/or inscribe a success sigil on the back. Surround it with the coins and crystals.  

Allow it to charge in the candle light and crystals, and recharge it daily by adding coins or relighting the candles.

Hey Bree.

I was wondering if you had any tips on wards, cleansing, etc. for dorm rooms. Smoke cleansing is out for obvious reasons, and I probably don’t have the materials to make a big or complicated ward.

You might be surprised. Technically, the only component you need is yourself. Energy work and visualization come easier to some witches than to others and they do take a bit of practice, but you can always give it a shot.

If you can hold the idea or the image of a web or a bubble or a brick wall in your mind and push that out to encompass your space, you may be able to set some wards with no materials at all! Start by warding yourself first, then practice pushing that boundary outward. You can anchor the ward to the walls and it will stay in place rather than you having to constantly hold it.

Personally, I find webs and brambles and bricks the easiest to visualize - a wall being built one brick at a time, a bramble thicket sprouting to surround my space, a thick spiderweb being spun along the walls, etc.

Here are some simple materials you can use in place of fire and smoke:

Locks - Once you have your protective spells in place, attach them to the lock on your door. When the lock is turned, the protections engage. You can also use this as an additional layer of warding on top of whatever you put in place for general long-term protections. (For example, I have a set of wards that are always in place whether my door is open or closed, but there's an additional set that activates when I leave and lock my door from the outside.)

Sound - Ring a bell, sing, chant, play a favorite song, and attach the intention of removing harmful, stagnant, or negative energy to the sound. Picture the sound waves pushing everything out until all that remains is what you allow.

Light and Air - Open the window, let the sunlight in, air the place out. You'd be surprised how often that heavy, bogged-down feeling is just a stuffy room! Picture the light and fresh air cycling through the space and refreshing everything that is good and healthy.

Artificial Light - If you can't use open flame, you can still use battery-operated LED candles. There are plenty of different kinds to choose from. I like the pillars and tealights especially. They come in plenty of different colors - some even include color-changing programs or flickering effects. They can be the representation of fire for any non-burning spellwork or warding you wish to do. Perfect for dorm-safe ambience. (Just make sure your RA knows they're flameless so you don't get into trouble.)

Salt - A pinch of salt in the corners of the room or sprinkled across your doorway can do wonders. In high-traffic situations, you can also keep a little bowl or jar of salt in the room and charge it to constantly cleanse and protect the space. (If it spills or breaks, it's not a bad omen. Just replace it.) You can also do this with cleansing or protective herbs, but salt is the easiest thing to get your hands on. If you don't mind a trip to the supermarket and a little time spent drying the components, a charm bag or jar containing salt, rosemary, dried lemon peel, basil, and bay leaves is very effective for cleansing and warding. Throw in some thorns or thumbtacks if you want your wards to have bite!

Room Sprays - This one is a little trickier because you'll need to take allergies and roommate comfort into consideration. You can use commercial air freshener or homemade room spray made from water, rubbing alcohol, and essential or scented oils to cleanse and protect your space. I used to use a blend of rosemary, lemon, lavender, and mint that was very effective. A few little spritzes make the room smell nice and keep it cleansed. You can use plug-ins or reed diffusers for the same purpose on a passive basis.

Mundane Cleaning - Cleanse while you clean! I mean, you should be tidying your room up on a regular basis anyway, so why not make it witchy? Any time you tidy up, wash dishes, do the laundry, make the beds, scrub up, dust, vacuum, or sweep the floor, picture unwanted energy or influences being removed with the dirt and grime. (I also recommend this method for personal cleansing in the shower. Very soothing at the end of a long day!)

Keep in mind - cleansing and the refreshing of protective spells does not have to be a daily or even a regularly-scheduled activity. It can be done on an as-needed basis. Once you get settled and get used to your surroundings, you'll know when it needs doing and when things are okay. And if you're ever not sure, a bit of preventative maintenance never hurts.

Also, your roommate doesn't have to be actively involved in the casting of the wards, but you may want to let it be known during the casting that they are welcome in the space and shouldn't be treated as an intruder. This can also go for anyone who visits regularly if you're going to be strict about who is and isn't allowed in your space. It's not that they'll be physically kept out if they're not recognized by the spells, but they might feel uncomfortable or unwelcome. You can put in a clause like, "Anyone I invite across this threshold is welcome in this space" - something that can always be revoked in the future if the need arises.

Corn Moon Spell for Spiritual Storage

Hello Everyone, August’s full moon is known as the Corn Moon, and it’s a time of year associated with the harvest. In particular, this season often focuses on storing things away. This is a perfect time to focus on spiritual and physical health, and to harvest what you can to put aside for when you truly need it. Are there sacrifices that you can make today that will benefit you further down the road? Do this spell to metaphysically store things for later. 

You will need:  - A white candle - Dried corn - An empty glass jar with a lid

Light the candle, and think about all the blessings and abundance you have in your life. Hold the corn in your hands, and add the kernels to the jar, a few at a time. As you do, count off the good things they represent to you: joy, good health, spiritual well-being, success, and the like. Once you’ve added all the corn, put the lid on the jar. Say: I store these blessings for later, I save this fortune for later, I will embrace this harvest later.  Extinguish the candle, and put the jar someplace safe. If you’re feeling down or disappointed later in the season, pull it out and count your blessings again.

Happy, Happy, Happy Spell Jar

This spell jar is to encourage a natural state of happiness, and helping you find your happiness.

Here's what you need:

• Yellow Salt - energy, happiness, willpower

• Coffee - energy, courage

• Cinnamon - abundance, strength, abundance

• Sugar - sweetens mood/disposition

• Lavender - healing, cleansing, peace

• Orange Peel - balance, harmony

• Calendula - healing, stability, growth

• Sweet Orange Oil - joy, energy

• Tangerine Quartz - creativity, inspiration, motivation

• Yellow Wax - happiness, confidence, self-esteem

First, cleanse your jar. Then add the ingredients in whatever order you choose. I find the powders work best on bottom, then herbs/flowers, then oils and crystals. But whatever you choose is find. And as always you can add or subtract whatever you feel is right to make it fit you. Comment below how well it works for you!

A form of Water Magick: Water Bowls 🪞🌊💖✨

Get yourself a bowl that you'll want to use for spell work (I use a glass decorative bowl).

Once you find a bowl you resonate with, fill it up with water.

When I fill my bowl I put a pinch of sea salt and a few drops of oil. It depends on what kind of work I'm doing, but my universal oil in spell craft is olive oil. Then, I have a few pieces of quartz and rose quartz I keep in my bowl. Over time, you'll know how you'll want to customize your bowl for spell work, but no matter what I always add in a pinch of sea salt. Salt in water creates electrolytes, which holds/stores energy/intentions/electricity (Sea Salt represents the ocean for me also).

After you create your water bowl, you can pray your intentions into it as you please until the bowl dries up.

The alternative is if you're feeling specific with your intentions, you can take a small piece of paper and write your intentions onto it. When you're done writing your intentions, you place it into your water bowl.

Whether you pray or write your intentions into your water bowl, you have to wait for the bowl to dry up. Once the bowl is dried, it means your intentions are set into the universe. This means you've charged the water with your intentions and it evaporated into the universe and it is at work.

If you decided to write your intentions, you can do as you please with it.

With my written intentions I'll burn it, place it into a mason jar filled with water and herbs (if I want the spell to continue), bury it, or get creative in however you'd like to continue your ritual.

Then, clean your bowl and crystals (if any), refill, and keep the energy flowing!

I have grown to love working with water in all my spell work to where I even use mirrors as my magickal tool (mirrors are the water element which is for another post in the near future lol).

My typical water bowl is: water, my tumbled crystals, a pinch of sea salt, and a few drops of olive oil. I typically focus my intentions into my bowl. I may light candles to add power, or hold onto one of my larger crystals to amplify my energy.

Water holds memory and shapes to our emotions and thoughts. It's an intuitive element and shapes to our wants and needs.

A Lunar Eclipse Spell For Making A Change That Scares You

You will need:

A silver candle

Two pieces of white paper and a black pen

A dark-colored candle

Timing:

From just before a lunar eclipse until the moon reappears in the sky (if you have time, watch the moon disk gradually disappear until full moonlight returns)

The spell:

Light the silver candle as the moon starts to disappear and write a list of all the things that are holding you back from success or happiness.

When the moon is gone, light the dark candle from the silver one, saying, “Problems, obstacles flow from me, eclipsed in darkness may you be.”

One by one, cross out the obstacles on your list, saying, “Eclipsed in darkness may you be.”

When the moon starts to reappear, write on the second paper solutions ro make change possible.

Cut up and dispose of the first paper, saying, “Once more shine bright, you glorious light. I will succeed as darkness turns to white.”

When full moonlight is restored, extinguish the dark candle, saying, “Eclipsed in darkness, obstacles shall be.”

Leave the second paper where you can read it first thing next morning.

Easy New Moon Ritual ✨

What better time to set out good intentions than during the New Moon? It is a time of enticing mystery, and a wonderful period to ponder what you wish to change in your life… What you wish to create, and to make new. This is also wonderful for new witches, or witches on a budget // tight schedule! ♡

The Ritual:

• Ask yourself one simple question: “What do I really wish to change?” This can be something as deep as, “I am hoping to forget about a certain someone / something and move on,” or as simple as, “an overall better attitude.” Write down your intention on a candle. (If the only candle you have access to is in a glass jar, write your intention on a slip of paper and place it in front of or taped to your candle).

• If you’d like, it is also possible to “boost” your little ritual with small personal items - safely surround your candle with meaningful photos, totems, herbs, crystals, or trinkets that possess your unique, strong energies, or have a correlation to your stated intention (ex: “I want to put more into my art projects;” try adding a colored pencil). :-) You may also consider adding a simple dish of salt for general protection!

• Now, it is time for the ritual itself! It can take place on the night before or the night of the New Moon. Essentially, this is a period of meditation. Light your candle, and sit before it. Why do you feel so strongly about your intention? It’s because it’s something you really want, right? Let this thought sink in… And really concentrate on this change you seek becoming a reality. You are fully capable of pursuing your dreams. Visualize this change as a bright, warm, physical being, encompassing you in new possibilities and positivity. Allow yourself to be flushed of all negative influences; instead, being filled with the strong influence of the New Moon. You, too, can be new.

• Once your candle has gone out, let it sit for as long as you like - a day, a week, until the next New Moon, or when you feel that your intention has been fulfilled. Look to your melted candle in times of stress, or stand before it, centering yourself. Remind yourself of your wishes; that they can indeed come true, and - of course… that you are capable of whatever life decides to throw at you. We are constantly changing, just as the moon is - and she’s always beautiful regardless, isn’t she? ♡🌙

🌑 New Moon Ritual 🌑

Hello Loves! 

I’m posting this a little late but thought I would show you what I did for the New Moon.

The New Moon is all about new beginnings, cleansing, setting and reassessing intentions, goals and manifesting your desires. It’s a time to rid of things that no longer aid you and welcome the things that do, and putting those aids in to practice. It’s also a wonderful time to start new projects.

The Ritual:

I started the day by cleaning my room, sweeping out the negativity, cleaning my altar, cleansing with sage and burning lavender incense for inner peace and tranquility.

After I cleansed my surroundings I started to cleanse myself. Starting with light stretching to awaken the body from slumber and guided meditation for opening the mind and soul. I then went for a water cleanse and swam leisurely in the pool (the ocean would’ve been ideal but a simple shower or bath works great too), it’s important to admire and thank your surroundings, find beauty in it all. I love to thank Gaia for all she gives us. After the pool, I did a sort of second water cleanse in the shower. Simply imagining negativity seeping out of my body and down the drain and fresh positivity and ambition seeping in.

Once I cleansed my self, I let the sun set and at moon rise I began my spell work and manifesting. Here’s what I did and what you can do:

🌑 I started by writing down all things that no longer aid me and the negativity I wanted out of my life.

🌑 I then proceeded to burn it (safely, please be cautious with fire!) where the New Moon could see and wash it away. As it burned I visualized the negativity and unhelpful habits leave my body and fly away.

🌑 Next, I wrote down all the things I wanted to invite, keep and manifest in to my life. 

🌑 I then carefully rolled the piece of paper up into a little scroll and tied it with some blessed twine/rope, I added some pieces of Rosemary, Baby’s Breath and a lavender coloured flower for knowledge and intuition. 

🌑 Once I had created my scroll I meditated with it and some crystals, holding it in my hand and infusing it with power.

If you make this cute little intentions scroll I recommend keeping it somewhere visible, so you can always look upon it when you feel you’re going astray.

I ended the night by thanking the Moon and Gaia and proceeded to journal and get a good nights rest!

I hope this gives you some inspiration for the New Moon and setting intentions.

A gentle reminder is, whilst Moon phases are strong times to do certain things there is no right or wrong time to set intentions, break bad habits and manifest your dreams! You don’t need to wait for the next Moon phase, and if you feel now is or isn’t the time then trust what your intuition is telling you!

an apple can be used for a simple house blessing; cut an apple in half, and eat one half in your home. place the other outside, in the backyard or front porch, as an offering to good spirits for protection and warm energy.

bay leaves can be placed in the corners of a room to banish evil from it and protect those within it.

a cactus can be grown near a house to offer strong protection; even stronger protection is gained by planting cacti at all for corners of the home.

planting catnip in the garden, or hanging it above your door, will attract good spirits and good luck.

chamomile can be sprinkled about in the home to break curses and unwanted spells cast on or in the home.

cilantro brings peace and harmony to a home.

clover can be sprinkled around a home to banish unwanted spirits.

garlic can be hung in a home to bring its inhabitants closer together.

lavender can be burned and its ashes sprinkled about to cultivate rest and tranquility within the home.

orange peel can be placed in windowsills to bless the house with angel and sun energy.

peppermint can be burned as a smoke cleanser to remove illness and negative energy from a new home.

a sprig of pine can be hung in the home to bless it and its inhabitants.

sachets of saffron can bring happiness to the home.

thyme burned or hung inside brings good health to its residents.

Crystal Herbalism - Full Moon Ritual 

Burn a white or silver candle, place a moonstone near the flame, illuminating the crystal.

Look into the glow of the stone, what do you see? 

Meditate on the feels that arise. Honor your feelings. 

Take a small piece of paper and write your down your intentions for this cycle.

Whisper your prayers and the spell above into the paper and burn it in the flame.

The ash and smoke will carry your hopes to the moon.

💋💘 Enhance Your Love- Jar Spell 💘💋

so i made this lil jar for me and my boyfriend, to enhance our love. (please dont use this for the intent of forcing love on someone that hasnt consented/wants something like this). anyway heres the materials i used and how i thrust my intentions and love into it;

💕 Ingredients (from bottom to top): 💕

pink salt (love, cleansing)

rosemary (protection, love, lust, purification, healing)

marjoram (protection, love, happiness, health)

chickweed (fidelity, love)

catnip (love, beauty, happiness)

senna leaf (love)

blue verbena vervain (aphrodisiac, protection, cleansing)

rose hips (love, peace)

jar (i would use a heart shaped one for purely aesthetics but i dont have one)

red/pink candle to seal it; for love magic (additionally, you could seal it with red or pink ribbon or yarn or string)

white candle (optional) for purity/cleansing

tumbled rose quartz on top (for a calm flow of energy; love)

🔥 What to do: 🔥

💞 okay so first i lit my white candle and got all my supplies together and i was thinking about my boyfriend, and cute things and generally happy thoughts, and where i’d like to go further with out relationship. i put everything in the jar one at a time, still thinking about my intent (to enhance our love). that could either be our happiness or anything else that comes with a love spell (nsfw). HOWEVER, you can even talk to your jar, gush about your love interest, anything you want. you can put a taglock inside/around the jar too. i didn’t though, mainly because i keep the jar around things my boyfriend has given to me (love notes, doodles, etc.)
