Here’s a little Lethal Company creature me and my girlfriend made!! I designed them and they wrote the following description :3
Coat-Tailed Bats
Sigurd's danger level: 75%
Scientific name: *Haliaeetus Sagatus-Lunae*
The Coat-Tailed Bat (order Saurischia), known colloquially as simply a Coat-Tail, was named for its tail's resemblance to that of a coat. Although technically descended from avians, they were thought to be related to bats for quite some time due to boasting extremely bat-like traits, such as large fangs, coarse hair, and excellent hearing to make up for poor eye-sight.
Its sensitive ears can be both a strength and a weakness; it is attracted to noise, such as footsteps and voices, but will become overwhelmed by too much noise and fly away. Despite the common myth that simply yelling or screaming will scare away a Coat-Tailed Bat, they have evolved to recognise human voices and will attack anyway, however they will still be scared of noises they do not understand, like man-made devices.
They exhibit very maternal behaviours, resting in their nest to watch over their offspring during the day, and searching for food during the night. Upon hearing viable prey, they will attempt to pick them up with their large talons in order to bring them back to their nest. They will not kill their prey out-right, but instead leave them in the nest to find more prey. If you find yourself in this situation, the best thing to do is to stay quiet and wait to be rescued, however if this is not possible, you can attempt to climb down the tree so long as you do not wake the babies, as doing so will result in them crying out and bringing their mother back to the nest. If this does happen, the mother Coat-Tail will see you as a threat. Do not, under any circumstances, make yourself seen as a threat.
Guys….
Here are my upcoming events!! Super excited to start tabling at these markets, hope to see y’all there!! :333
