“Pig Out”
I did this around the same time and Fine Dining. A series about animals eating indoors. It won an award and was made into a print by Greenwich workshop. I love painting luscious trout.
“Those are My Ears”
Another deleted small painting on copper.
“Amended: Synchronized Narwhal Swimming Anti-Doping Laws”
Process shots, since I am too stupid to do video, seem to be popular on my sites. This painting is really a favorite of mine. It’s on copper and for sale in my upcoming show here. I know it’s been posted before but without process bonus shots.
“Now I See”
Apparently I have a bunch of these old book covers paintings that haven’t been posted. Some of this work must have been done by night faeries while I was sleeping.
“Family Ties”
Every time I think of maybe giving up copper I do something like this and really like it. Then I fall in love with copper all over again. Copper might have nothing to do with it until you actually hold it in your hand or see it on the wall. I think this may also have to do with how protective we are of new babies. Just had another g-daughter, Hudsenn Marie Carman.
“He Lured the Bird from His Brain”
I’ve always liked the idea of this tiny painting. I’ve been considering doing a fairly large version, updating a little. I rarely go back and do something over, and this would of course be different, but this might be an exception.
Sometimes “in progress” shots are as cool as the finished piece. i could have stopped a lot sooner and saved a lot of time.
Been posing some process shots of a painting I’m currently working over on FB. Here they are grouped together. For an idea of scale, the girl’s head is about half and inch across.
“Improv Cthulhu”
It’s amazing how these little textural improvisations recharge the ole batteries. As I was doing this I couldn’t help but remember Lovecraft’s birthday. Yesterday or the day before. I can’t remember the last time I did an actual monster monster. You know kind of scary not funny or caricatured. Now back to some larger paintings.

Pretty cool interview as video interviews go. Short and sweet.
Another small acrylic piece on copper with no paint quality. OK, this is the last response to an ignorant statement. Though this could very well be the strangest painting I have ever done.
“Pig Out” I just saw some prints from Greenwich Workshop, made from this painting still floating around the internet. Ahh, cyberspace is an amazing place.
