Hi I'm Chase and I'm a rescue dog trained by Headway Suffolk as part of the Brainy Dog Scheme. I was trained to become a companion dog to people with a brain injury or neurological condition. I now work at Headway Swindon helping those with an acquired brain injury and I love it! Follow my everyday life here at Headway Swindon to see how I help the clients on their road to recovery from their brain injury and what mischief I get myself into! The Vet said I could come off the lead again! Wahoo!  It’s been weeks since I’ve been able to have a good run about since having a broken bone in my foot. Look at me go!

This is the video of me being trained to go to my mat whenever I feel anxious - It will help me to realise it is a place to calm down and relax.  It was only my second time being trained to do this and got I rewarded with lots of treats and cuddles so I think I got it right! Keep watching to see what I’ll be learning from Karen next week.

I had training with Karen again today. We made amazing progress as she taught me to go to my comfort mat as a place to calm down and relax whenever I feel anxious. The video will be uploaded soon so keep watch to see how I got on with learning this new skill.

I’ve broken a bone in my foot and the vet said I have to take it easy for a little while and wear this little boot :( Hopefully back on my paws to my normal self in no time!
