"the gilded age has no plot" WRONG the gilded age has the perfect plot. listen i'm so fucking used to shows being about sadness and tragedy all the time. i'm not at all kidding when i say my fucking stomach dropped every single time someone stepped onto the road because i thought they were gonna get hit by a carriage as a source of drama but no. i cannot tell you how refreshing it is to watch a show that's literally only about petty rich people drama and the hot main couple getting everything they want whilst serving absolute cunt. excellent show 10/10

i kind of daydream about d*emon dying in the war and viserys following him soon after so young rhaenyra becomes the queen and alicent eventually becomes her lover. rhaenyra still has lavender marriage with laenor but they don't try to have kids since rhaenyra announces aegon her heir. she goes from "oh that traitor alicent's son aegon who's a threat to my position 😡" to "oh my beloved alicent's son aegon who saved me from the horrors of childbirth 🥰". otto is very happy with how things turned out lol his daughter not only stayed politically relevant after becoming queen dowager but managed to make his grandson a future king and is using her childhood friendship with the queen to have her ear at all times. he couldn't be more proud of alicent. criston doesn't know lesbianism exists so he doesn't think much of alicent sleeping in his queens room often. he considers them as very good lady pals and sees dutiful alicent as a great influence on rhaenyra. the particular sounds coming out from the queen's room sometimes are simply not his business. rhaenyra gaslights everyone at court about her and alicent relationship this time around and criston threatens violence against anyone who disrespects his queens with improper implications.
