Felt whimsy and fed into my childhood whims
So today I went shopping in the evening, and while looking for Christmas presents for family, I saw a display of Littlest Pet Shop mystery boxes.
And something you may not know about me is that I was a crazed LPS fan as a little kid. My go-to online game was Littlest Pet Shop Online until it sadly died (RIP), and in middle school, I used to trade random stuff for old Pet Shops that my friends had. I used to have a much bigger collection when I was VERY young. But, I went through a phase where I got rid of most of them because I wanted to be grown… flash forward to like two years later, when I was in grade five, and all of a sudden Pet Shops were in with my friends, and I was the one who became the obsessive of my friend group at the time lol.
There was a phase in time when LPS got really ugly and lost its original appeal. Then they realized in more recent years, "Oh shit, no one wants to buy them anymore. Might as well try to rope back in the adult collectors." But I didn't realize they had finally gotten back to the style they had when I was little. I remember the last time I looked at LPS in-store was when they were still in the middle of transitioning from the late 2010s style back to their older OG style.
Well, back to the OG story of this post.
I decided to cough up five big ones for this mystery Pet Shop because 1: Whismy, 2: I have a mild gambling problem, and 3: Why not?
I wasn't planning on opening it today, but I was a little upset over something trivial that happened earlier with a social interaction and thought, hey, right about now would be a good time for a serotonin boost.

I thought, Oh, I hope it's not one of the unfortunate-looking ones. I wanted either a cat or the dachshund. AND OOOH MY LUCK!!
