The maternal line is pretty short for Elliott’s family. Martha is Lazarus’ sister and has the blessing of immortality and that blessing flows down to her descendants. Though her tree is more like a shrub compared to her brother’s. Many children but not a lot of grandchildren.

The poor melanin gets eaten so badly. The damn French gene is strong though Martha has an odd tendency to go for French men. Everett also married a French woman too so the gene stacked. Elliott is especially pale due to his father’s genes being German/eastern European.
