The main components in an individual’s chart to signify style is the Ascendant, Sun, Moon, and Venus.
The Ascendant being the self, our identity, and appearance.
The Sun being our lifestyle. Our general expression.
The Moon being ourselves in emotional and vulnerable expressions (important component as we need to feel comfortable in what we wear; we self-identify with certain styles.)
Venus being our aesthetic expression and is closely tied to our Sun sign’s expression.

Looking to high fashion for Capricorn influences, probably the most influential Capricorn designer we see today is Alexander Wang. Though Wang has very prominent Scorpio influences which you can see in his work, he still portrays very Capricorn/Saturn elements in his designs. There is a quote from him where he mentions the vision of his fall 2019 line is a “celebration of the American hustle. We’re taking stereotypes of class and wealth and trying to remix them, giving status symbols a new sensibility.” Hustle. Class. Status. Words that could easily describe the essence of Capricorn fashion. Capricorns dress to demonstrate their status. They dress smart, chic, and ready to work. They want people to know they’re the responsible leader in the room, the one you go to to ask all of the questions! Capricorns like to appear tall and tend to dress in ways to elongate their silhouette. A key favourite to Capricorns are long, classic coats, which you can see showcased in Wang’s designs.

Capricorns also don’t shy away from dressing sporty and know how to dress it up to look professional. A good example is the middle image above. Also, Capricorn women who love their body tend to show off their midriff quite a bit, they really favour styling sports bras.
Capricorns also love sharp collars, which you can see below in Wang’s designs.

When Capricorn fashion hits the streets, it thrives, as a Capricorn would want it to. Influencer and Pinterest-like trends can be seen quite a bit in the streetwear. Sometimes vintage pieces, but they have to stay in the framework of being chic and timeless. Capricorns tend to favour timeless pieces such as trench-coats, pea-coats, reefer coats, polos, slacks, suede, tweed, and linens. They favour the rigid points seen in high fashion such as pointed-toe shoes and sharp collars. They tend to stick to very neutral colours like greys, blacks, off-whites, bieges, camels, and jewel tones. Capricorns also tend to favour fall fashion, as this would be the best time to wear the long coats they favour as well their tendency to layer. They don’t usually wear a lot of extravagant jewelry, they much prefer carefully selected pieces or delicate pieces. They know how to dress up casual pieces and how to dress down formal; maybe Nike sneakers, sweatpants, but with a blazer? They’ll pull it off, no doubt.
