all the space news made me really emotional. So obviously I HAVE to post about the character who loves the moon as well. I actually wanted to try drawing the colorful moon by Ildar Ibatullin (which isn't related to the Artemis II mission at all, as I've been told), but I got nervous and just went completely grayscale instead. I figured I was more comfortable painting like this anyways hehe.

a few early young nefario concepts and a minions' origin concept from the first minions movie as shown in Eric Guillon's new art book. originally, nefario was considered for the lead role in minions as well as being their creator, but the story went another route.

assorted stuff about an au where I swapped lucy with gru and gru with lucy and etc. clearly with the amount of artworks I've already done I'm very normal about this idea.

I'm obviously a bit more biased about lucy the villain in this AU...because honestly I wanted to see lucy being a little wretched. as a treat. I think she has a teensy bit of rage in her and I wanted to expand on that in the universe where she becomes the villain instead. And with regards to the family aspect, I dooo wanna expand on the idea that she's not a perfect mom and she's still learning, but she does end up loving the girls like gru does.

I've got a lot more ideas but I'll let these simmer for now. 7th picture (1st white bg picture) are the first concepts before I ""finalized"" her design, though tbh even that's subject to change too.
