My job is doing this thing where we help teachers with supplies for the upcoming school year. 

I always knew that public schools were underfunded and they had problems getting updated textbooks and shit. I think everyone has a general idea that this is a problem. But I never knew the extent of how bad it is. Some teachers get absolutely no budget for school supplies, basic shit like paper and pencils and erasers. The kids are already poor and don’t have supplies to bring to school, the teachers are paid nothing and have to provide shit out of their own pocket.

Its all very disgusting. 

There’s really no reason our govt is buying stealth bombers and public schools don’t even have basic shit like erasers. 

Seeing teachers talk about how bad it is in their classroom fucked up my day.
