what are some graphic tablet using TIPS, Please
Mainly practice with that sucker a lot to get used to how using a graphic tablet feels, take good care of the pad and change your nips when they get dull. Make sure the usb connections donβt get shorts like mine on my bamboo did, I had to tape it with some electrical tape but itβs been running well for 6 yrs!
As for the use in general, get your pen pressure settings nice and pretty how you like em! Tons of artists have their pen pressure settings for sai posted on the internet, try them out, they work wonders!Β
Iβm currently using GrypwolfβsΒ brush settings for a while now, they work so nicely!Β
If you use sai or any other drawing program that uses pen pressure,(like photoshop or manga studio/clip studio), simply googleΒ βpen pressure settings forβ whatever program you use, and try them out.Β
If you use sai, another great resource for people with shaky hands (like meβ¦.coughcough), try using the stabilizer!Β
I use mine at 15 because Iβm un-apologetically BAD at inking without this little friend. If you use manga studio/photoshop I donβt know if it has something like this, Iβm less familiar with those programs. But for photoshop I usually use no stabilization settings and get thinner more organic likes that art more concept art-ish that are easy to paint over if you paint.Β
Clip studio/manga studio has pretty good stabilization as it is, but Iβm sure it has other good settings Iβm just not familiar with, just look it up! Youtube has tons of tutorials.Β
when I ink in clip studio my favorite tool is the textured pen. I just love the way it looks/feels ^ ^ You get nice fuzzy lines.
When I ink in sai I use the pencil tool with Grypβs settings.Β
I just find it has much sharper lines. For coloring I also use this tool because it has a lot of control. Once Iβm done with my flats I typically tone skin/clothes with the beautiful beautiful watercolor tool!Β
It has a super painterly feel and itβs great for toning! To blend I use the blur tool.
For a nice firm blend up the density to 100%, for a softer feel play around with it at 50% or 30%.
For photoshop I usually do pretty much all coloring/ lining with the basic round brushβ¦ Iβm boring with photoshop. Itβs great for sketches/concept art or just doodling. For sketching I usually use photoshop rather than sai because it has a closer pen pressure feel to pencil and paper. Of course if you want a freer feel with sai, just put the stabilizer on 0.
Beyond that I donβt really have much other advice. Iβve been using the same wacom bamboo tablet for 6 yrs and still love it, Iβve never used any other tablet for a prolonged period of time so just get used to your graphics tablet and take good care of it, and customize the hell out of your settings!Β
