DELTARUNE CHAPTER 5 SPOILERS!!
PROCEED WITH CAUTION!!
Everyone talks about the fact Blue gave Yellow a bouquet made out of each-other’s petals, but nobody talks about the fact Yellow was so surprised he yanked Ralsei into the picture while pointing at said bouquet, like he needed confirmation that what he was seeing was real.
Some people got me fucked up. I am sick and tired of watching some people ONLY put the blame on Delilah and never hold Arthur accountable. They're BOTH flawed individuals, and in my opinion, Arthur is worse.
So I'm gonna rant about why I think that way based on what we have so far... below the cut, just in case you don't wanna read that. </3
First of all let's list out Delilah's "sins"
Delilah:
Having the holiday toons isolate - yes, that's messed up, but you need to look at it through a buisiness standpoint. What are we gonna do with those extra holiday rooms during the off-season? Especially with how large the new Easter map is, that has got to be expensive as hell. We know they aren't locked away, or starved, or abandoned, they're just programmed to have seasonal depression (again, not good, but a lot better than most other options)
Not Making Gourdy's Parent's real - They aren't important enough characters to bring to life, they probably haven't even shown up in the show, or they have but have no faces. "Oh but they made Dyle and he isn't in the show" yeah well Dyle is meant to be a servant, he has a purpose... Gourdy's Parents probably don't?
Dyle - On the topic of Dyle! Yeah, creating a sentient being with no purpose other than being an unpaid worker is fucked up. I cannot defend that, but what I can say is that it isn't just Delilah's fault.
Bassie - Delilah didn't want her replaced because she hated Bassie, she did it because she was CONCERNED! She was worried about how someone as unstable as her would handle the public pressure of being a main, especially a holiday main because it's implied that holiday mains are the ones who do the majority of the work when it comes to handling their events. Plus, THEY NEVER WENT THROUGH WITH THIS! Delilah didn't make that letter in a "She NEEDS to be replaced and I will not debate you on this" she made that letter in a "I'm concerned about how this role will affect her mental health, can we talk this through?"
Bassie (again) - WE DO NOT KNOW WHAT SHE INTENDED WITH WHISPERING FLOWER! We cannot assume her intentions were malicious, or even if she intended for it to have an eye, we can't assume anything about it. I personally think it was meant to give her a companion like how Finn has Barnaby while keeping an eye on her while she's busy. I cannot confirm that, but no one can, we don't have enough lore to be able to tell
Okay, now what about Arthur's?
Arthur:
Bobette - This is his main and biggest sin imo, people like to claim he didn't know any better but he is a grown fucking man, not a child, he knew what he was doing. He pressured her into doubling her work, why? For profits, to make things bigger, better, more bedazzling to the viewer, that's why. The only Decision Delilah made that was profit driven was having the holiday toons self-isolate, and that was to save money, not make money.
Dyle - As I said, fucked up to make life to be a servant. But Delilah only brings toons to life. Arthur is the one who designs them, writes their characters, gives them names, he's the one who makes them up. If he didn't, Delilah wouldn't have a toon to bring to life. What I'm saying is that it's likely that he could've been Arthur's idea, and even if he was Delilah's idea, Arthur had to greenlight that, had to go through the process of making the character just right to be the "perfect servant", someone obsessed with trains so he won't complain about working on them.
Bassie - Hey... someone had to greenlight the idea of making Cocoa plushies, even if they were never gonna make Cocoa a main... why manufacture these in the first place???
Vee Version 1 - Hey... someone had to greenlight the idea of Vee Version 2... and last time I checked. Arthur is the final decision maker here, if he wasn't, Delilah wouldn't need to send letters to him on the topic of Bassie's replacement.
Squirm - Arthur refusing to accept his toons may be different than what he originally planned, he's so adamant on Squirm being a bookworm that he won't even hear him out on being a caterpillar. He's so closed minded and set in what he wants that he doesn't even realize that Squirm could be... both???? Bookworm is an umbrella term for many types of insects... one of those being moth larvae or *gasp* caterpillars
So, in summary
Delilah -> Makes decisions based on what's logical. She asks what would benefit the company? Sometimes she even asks what would benefit the well-being of the toons in some cases?
Arthur -> Also makes decisions that could benefit the company. HOWEVER, views the toons as though they are still his fictional OC's who must act according to script instead of recognizing that not only would their sentience mean they deviate from that script, but also that some of their personalities conflict with what they're meant to do.
You see what I'm trying to get at here?
Again, I'm not saying Delilah is some innocent angel who did no wrong, but can some people stop acting like Arthur somehow is the angel here?
hi guys look at my crackship I might put into my au
Delilah and Sammy.
for my AU, Sammy is lost after Bendy refuses to stay and be his God. he continues to pray for him to come back until Boris COMPLETELY ACCIDENTALLY plays matchmaker with them and effing regrets it.
They're perfect in my mind. Sammy yearns for someone to worship like a God, Delilah wants to BE God.
not even omegaverse either its t4t. which usually i would be fine with and encourage but with delarthur fan behavior theres no way it ISNT just "girlboss dom so shes trans and has a dick cause obviously trans women cant have bottom surgery and pathetic man bottom so hes trans too"
I don’t mind Arthur and Delilah being T4T, but I NEED them to be switches!
Because Arthur deserves to have top-time, much like Delilah needs to be shown what he’s got. Idk if I’m missing the plot, but I wanna share my two cents lol.
Nicholas isn’t just the Toon Handler for Bobette, but he’s also in charge of the other Christmas Toons.
Understandably, it puts a LOT onto the shoulders of a young adult, but despite this, he’d rather handle the job himself, as he feels he’s the only one capable of it.
Either way, he really cares for Bobette (along with her friends), because he sees himself inside her… However, he worries about how big the yearly workload is getting, not just for her, but for himself, too... He can only hope Arthur gets his head out of the clouds soon, before the toon is crushed under the pressure of perfection… or him.
These are pretty simplified and just my personal thoughts on them but I find them all very fascinating
This is just one instance but this is how I kinda read the whole Bassie note situation. Of course a lot of the stuff they do is still pretty horrible and shouldn’t have happened even if they didn’t go into it with bad intentions, but idk.

It's either you love this guy with every fiber of your being and will do anything to protect him or you despise everything about him and see him as literally H💫tl3r.
Except I might be the only exception of an in-between.
Like, I like him as a character and it’s fun to draw him and create headcanons.
But I know that man is no saint, I mean come on! If there’s ONE thing Mascot Horror has taught us, it’s that you shouldn’t breathe life into your creations unless you’re FULLY prepared for whatever consequences occur.
As my previous post stated, I lied about my age several times, being one year younger than the age I told people I was. Therefore I was a minor pretending to be an adult.
I did this because I wanted to seem badass and in control of the situation, and be some sort of fandom elder people could look up to.
This in turn, made me want to watch and participate in inappropriate material, including an RP with someone one year younger than me and other things that could've been misinterpreted as a fetish (IT wasn't, but due to some of my behavior it could've been misinterpreted as such)
Today I was called out for it, and before that, the whole depth of the situation didn't sit down on me until it had consequences
I broke the trust of many people due to this and I thought that it wasn't okay for me to live.
I still think that even now, but thanks to talking with some friends, I decided to not commit suicide.
I'm very sorry for the people I've hurt, and I promise that after my break, I'll leave those behaviors behind.
While I wasn’t involved in such, I’ve been a friend of George’s in the Kirby fandom, so I thought I’d state my thoughts. (Just in case someone tries to call me out for complicity.)
I’m trying to be as transparent as possible with my followers, no matter what social influence I have.
I was unaware of George lying about his age, and yes, I am surprised like many others on here.
However, take note that this situation is common on the internet. Young people have always done such to gain access to content for an older demographic. This is based on (like he said) the whole “being older = being cool” mindset.
And yes, it can be extremely damaging to said person’s innocence, as well as other people around them.
I’m 19 and will be turning 20 in December. If some “cancel culture” dork found out I was truly talking to a 17-year-old, they likely would’ve left the “lying about age” part out and would’ve tried to make me seem like I’m a pedophile.
However, this post IS NOT to shame George for his actions. While it IS dangerous, it is still common on the internet, not just to seem older, but to seem younger. (Which is why many cyber-safety classes tell you not to talk to strangers online).
Not to mention, he is STILL a teenager. We all would’ve done something as a teen that we all wanted to forget. However, we have to acknowledge that part of us if we want to grow, which is what he is doing.
All I hope is that he works on bettering himself during and after his break.
