Did you ever love someone who didn't love you back? I know you know who I'm talking about.

THE VAMPIRE LESTAT debuts June 7 on AMC and AMC+
Hello :) just to clarify, the other screeners on here weren't exactly saying the show was making fun of queer/gnc people via Lestat, but rather they were specifically making fun of fans who view *Lestat* as gnc - at least that's how I took it. It was implied that this particular faction of fans were being directly addressed by the show in a way that pokes fun at them for seeing him this way. Did you get that impression, or does your previous answer still apply? I'd love a second opinion on this because I'm wondering if this could also be a matter of perspective, or if it really is as direct as these other blogs are implying. Also I just want to echo everyone else and thank you for answering people so nicely, and I of course understand if you can't answer this!
Here’s a brief comment on asks seeking broad commentary on individual actors’ S3 performances:
So, real talk—I have had about 40 to 50 asks at this point falling into the category of “How is [W, X, Y, or Z actor’s] performance this season?” I’ve been asked this about nearly every principal and secondary cast member at this stage, some of them multiple times. This is another category of ask that I’ve spent a week tallying and not answering individually because I had the feeling that a blanket answer would serve best. There is not a single actor in this cast that isn’t giving it their all. I mean that. You’re seeing everyone at the top of their game in the screen-time they’ve been given. This isn’t a show where people phone in performances. And if someone is especially fantastic in your estimation, then I’d say you can expect to feel that way about what you see them doing onscreen. I’m not performing positivity here to be disingenuous; I am astounded at what the team has collectively achieved with this season. They’ve pushed themselves to their creative and emotional limits, and it shows.
"Every time I stumbled and fell, something in me hardened, became worse. By the time I reached the castle gates; I think I was not Lestat. I was someone else altogether." - Anne Rice - The Vampire Lestat

Hi, you don’t have to answer this question, but there are folks who claim to have screeners that are saying Lestat makes fun of and puts down queer and gnc fans via jabs from the writers room and becomes very toxic and masculine. Did you get this impression while watching? I was excited for the season but now I’m a little stressed.
