Finished my first job post graduation. This year has been very kind to me. A really fun and enjoyable Trigun reboot conclusion (albeit rushed, money's on Toho being responsible.) and getting my first job and doing real well! And deleting Twitter (Gonna work on deleting my Tiktok acc too since i stopped using it) TADC having a really cool finale and my French being the best it has ever been! Definetely helped that I stopped using Insta as well. My mental health since semi leaving in April has never been better.

The stress from my job still beats doing my thesis last year lol. And im using the income i earned to buy the teru vash, and a Trigun Stargaze watch and Eriks plush (Bc Stargaze Eriks Vash is my fav look) and saving up

I cannot wait for the Stargaze Blu Ray to come in English. Gonna enjoy the extra content. So much love was put into the second season.

Using addons to disable the comments has been a game changer lol. Gonna work on using YT less. I dont use Tumblr often, but I am glad I switched to desktop since its easier to moderate what i see and dont have to deal with some braindead takes. Especially on media I enjoy.

Some seal mermaid concepts starring siren Wolfwood, because seal mermaids have been in my mind ever since I saw this haunting video of a singing leopard seal, and it's mermay.

They have seal vocal apparatus, so they can't speak like humans, and communicate through a variety os seal noises. There's the beautiful singing, mostly for underwater, but also less flattering wah's, puh's, and some dinosaur noises too. Most can't talk to humans, but some can, through sign language, after the efforts in the past decades to build communication with sirens. Woowoo and Livio are examples of it. Vash is a researcher and is working with them to create translation tool that can replicate their language.

I think trigun stargaze is a great addition to the trigun franchise for several reasons, even as people complain it isn't a good Trimax adaptation, and yes it does fail to be a perfect adaptation (we have trimax at home) but it is a good addition. They keep the primary themes of the series well executed, and I appreciate the choice to let some of the Gung Ho Guns be redeemed. I think it better lines up with the theme that anyone can change, but they let a lot of the bad guys straight up never choose to change (legato). The trimax bad guys all immediately killing themselves upon defeat to traumatize Vash works for trimax, but so does letting some of the bad guys have a second chance for Trigaze. I think that better communicates that theme that you can choose to be good, you can choose to go anywhere. Ultimately, it is your own choice. Those enemies dying takes away their chance to choose one way or the other, and while some of them abandon that idea, some of them choose to take it (like Midvalley and Leonov.) Loving Nightow's second draft.

That’s just a little drawing to share some love to Trigaze vash… around internet he is receiving so much hate, especially with posts of Trimax vash and wolfwood beating him up… I know it’s for fun but still it breaks my heart😔💔 I think especially Trimax Vash can really understand what’s stargaze Vash went through and the baby just tried his best… let’s hug him tightly🫂

Btw I don’t make this post because I’m “angry” with the people that made those kind of posts or something like that! I DON’T WANT to share hate over them!!! I just want to spread some love for lil stargaze Vash🥺👉🏼👈🏼

I don’t hate Stargaze. Could it be better? Absolutely. But with the fact that they were only given 2 seasons to work with instead of more makes me appreciate what they were able to do with that they had.

I have my criticisms, sure. It’s fast paced, plot points are either glossed over quickly or merged together, and key scenes that I was looking forwards to were taken out or just hinted at, at best. They could have given Vash more time to be fleshed out. I think he’s just kind of…there…half the time because the story keeps moving forward without him. They should have included more important backstory.

But ultimately, I just see it as a reimagining, just as how all of Nightow’s works with Trigun have been to some degree. I still have several parts that I loved with this version and I’m immensely glad they included it (like direct pages from the manga). The fights were well choreographed and had my heart racing, I got teary-eyed with Wolfwood after the Razlo fight. I feel Vash’s need for love and peace and I see how it’s changed how some of the characters look at the world (Meryl deciding not to shoot Elindera, for example). I even think some of the merged plot points were kind of clever in how it came back around later in the story.

But man, I’m just left with grasping for a little bit more. Stampede was fine, but Stargaze needed more time with all of the action and lore it had to push out. Guess I’ll have to make up for it with fanart.
