OP turned reblogs off but I think people need to see this more because
I loathe the tiktok trend of calling all impulsive thoughts intrusive thoughts, that’s a specific term for a specific affliction it’s not something we need to muddy the meaning of since society has ALREADY done that with OCD itself.
Some people in the notes of the original post were claiming that she’s not really in the military or at least isn’t currently, I don’t know this lady and I don’t care to so I don’t know if that’s true, but there were multiple people in the replies who were in the military laughing and agreeing with this as something they have experienced.
The dehumanization of “the enemy” in the eyes of military dogs is brainwashing and more than a little disturbing. They don’t see people, they see targets, they see threats, and that way of thinking normalizes the idea of killing children and civilians in general. This is intentional as it makes it all the more simple when a commanding officer orders them to level a city. They are molded into apathy towards humans who don’t happen to be on their “team” and if you ask around it’s not hard to find veterans who will happily gush about how they shot someone in the back.
