Love is not worth it. (Part 1)
Pairings: Peter Parker x Reader! Stark
Summary: Tony sent you to one of the best high schools in New York to improve your abilities, meeting three new people who became your best friends. But in the end, everything went to trash, feelings, and your whole reputation too.
You were Tony Stark’s and Pepper Potts daughter, their one and only baby princess. You after Tony, were one of the most intelligent girls in your class. You always helped your parents with their projects, and one day, maybe you’ll be an avenger, who knows. You we’re on vacations so there was no need to stress out for your new high school, the best in town where all the intelligent kids in New York studied at, after all, your parents just wanted to prepare you more and be better than they already are. You liked being at home, relaxing and watching some movies or shows, sometimes helping your parents or the avengers for training. You weren’t a street or party girl, but sometimes you went out for a walk at the mall, park or across the city with Happy or the Avengers, when they weren’t working.
Every night, after having dinner with Tony and Pepper and taking a shower, you laid on your bed with your pajamas on, and would watch at the ceiling imagining how it’ll be your first day at school being the new girl.
And that day arrived sooner than you hoped for.
Once the bus arrived and you went in, waving goodbye to your parents, you turned around seeing a lot of new faces. Some looked at you like a weirdo, some smiled, some guys winked at you and some just, didn’t care, but neither you.
Walking thru the bus hall, a girl smiled to you and asked if you wanted to take a sit next to her, which you agreed.
‘Wow, my first day and I already made a new girl friend’ you thought to yourself while your new friend was making a bunch of questions and telling you some stories from school and about her two best friends. Her name was MJ, she was funny, yet kinda scary sometimes. But all your care for was her friendship.
On the other hand, Peter and Ned were sitting at the very front of the bus, talking about you and glancing when you didn’t notice theirs stares.
“Dude! Don’t you think Mr.Stark’s daughter is pretty?? She looks so cute, doesn’t look as shitty as the popular ones. That includes, Flash the diva.”
Ned burst out in laughter. “Aw dude, if only flash heard that, you will be dead by now. And I can’t allow you to die before we finish our Star Wars project.”
“Yeah, yeah, you right.” Peter say calming down his laughter.
He turned around to take one last glance at you, he was so hypnotized by your beauty that he didn’t notice when you saw him.
While MJ was still talking, you looked out of the window, and then at the front. That’s when you saw a cute guy looking straightly at you with gloomy eyes. He seemed nice so you waved and smiled at him. Peter nervously reacted and waved back at you before returning his eyes back at the front, chatting with the other guy.
“Looks like Peter likes you.” MJ smirked at you.
“Oh, so he’s the famous Peter Parker you were talking me about? He looks nice.”
“Yeap, those dorks are my best friends. I’ll present them to you once we get to school.”
“Sounds nice. They look like nice guys.” You said, finally arriving to school. MJ and you got up from your seats and begun walking thru the buss hall. Peter and Ned following after. Once you got off the bus, everything was so big, so nice, different from your old school. “Nice, uh? OH! Here assholes, I’m here!” MJ shouted to Peter and Ned. Peter and Ned came right after both.
“So, (Y/N) this two are Peter and Ned, stupid ass #1 and stupid ass #2 she’s (Y/N), the new student.”
“OMG YOU’RE IRON MAN’S DAUGHTER, THAT IS SOOO COOL!! I’m Ned! My friend Peter likes you!” He screamed excited giving you a big handshake.
“Hi I- WHATS?!?” Peter eyes got as big as a plate.
“Sorry, what?” You looked at both boys in confusion, MJ already sighing at Ned messing up, like always. “He means, “YOU”, that Netflix series!” Peter pinched Ned’s arm. “Riiiighhhht, NED?!” Peter looking at his buddy’s face, grinning. Ned noticed. “AH- Yeah! Have you seen it on Netflix? Is a cool series about a stalker who murdered all her crush/gf ex’s”
‘So that’s why they’re MJ’s best friends, nothing strange.’ You thought. “I don’t, but we should watch it together, right Peter?” Peter laughed nervously. “It would be cool! Of course, if you want to.”
“Of course I do! Nice way of making new friends.” You smiled and let out a laugh. Peter never heard a laugh sweeter than yours.
“Well, we have to go to class, dorks, so hurry up and stop flirting, you make me wanna vomit.” Said MJ, with a gross face. You all three laughed and entered your new school, passing by all the other students. Tony left Peter in charge of showing you your new locker and all the classrooms, and where you should go period after period.
Peter has always seen you at the Stark Tower, but he’s not supposed to meet everyone there yet. He has always thought you were cute, admirable like your dad, and of course, beautiful, and now, you were at his school. Of course he already knew you were gonna be here, Tony told him to watch out for you, just trying to not creep you out like a stalker.
You two were walking, not saying a single word. He still felt embarrassed from what Ned said, and being with you made him nervous, also, he didn’t present himself properly, so Peter decided to start a conversation. “I forgot, my name’s Peter Parker and it’s nice having new students around this school.” You noticed Peter’s blush. “Aw, thank you Peter, as you may now by now, I’m (Y/N) Stark, and yeah, I already know you.” Peter chocked. ‘SHE KNOWS ME? DOES SHE KNOWS ABOUT ME BEING SPIDERMAN, MAYBE SHE’S SEEN ME FIGHTING CRIMINALS OR OR-‘ Peter tried to look calm. “Yeah? From where?” Peter asked as anxiety was eating him up.
“WH-WHAT? What did she tell you about me?” Okay, now he was freaking out, not as before, but somehow the same. “On the bus she was telling me how you and Ned were her buddies and that you are one of the most intelligent guys here, nice, innocent, dorky, and oh! I forgot, YOU GOT AN INTERNSHIP WITH MY DAD!? He never told me about you.”
‘Oof, at least she don’t know ‘bout Spiderman.’ He finally breathed all the air he was holding in.
“Yeah, kind of, I’m gonna work some technology projects with him and pay me everything.”
“That’s so cool!” You looked at him in awe.
“Yeah, not much, is tiring, but fun.” Finally, you got to your locker. “Here’s you new locker, won’t have to carry all your books so just leave them in here, and this is your password.” Peter handed her a tiny piece of paper with her Locker’s password on it. “Thanks.” You said taking your stuff out of your backpack and placing them on your locker. After you were done, he handed your schedule to you, you were having your first period with him, Ned and MJ.
Both of you walked down the corridors reaching your first period. After you presented to the class, you took a sit next to MJ, who was saving it for you. You went later to your next period with Ned and Peter, then with Peter and Ned, then had lunch with the them, another period with only MJ, and finally, your last one. The teacher left some homework that MJ and you finished quickly and had the rest of the class free, so you were talking with her in low voices.
“How was your first day at school, girl?” MJ asked.
“It’s nice, calm, everyone is doing their homework, are nicer, unlike my other school.. they just partied around all day and never letted me concentrate.”
“What makes you think we won’t do that here too? Come on, it’s high school, have some fun before we grow to boring adults who just drive cars, work, take charge of the world and responsibilities, the only cool thing is we can vote.”
You laughed at her comment. “Maybe you’re right, just lemme get used to here first. I already like it here. I already have three best friends!”
“And this is just the beginning, by the passing of the days, you’ll love it here soon. Enjoy your adolescence.” She patted you on the shoulder and continued to draw some classmates boring faces.
You’ve never felt like this before, your new school was awesome, you had three new best friends, your teachers and classmates where nice too, everything here felt so nice, you felt happy. This was gonna definitely be your high school year! You thought while watching MJ draw.
Oh, silly you. You were so inoccent to know the double faces of people here.
