I keep getting flash backs of ‘Thirteen Reasons Why’ ( the last episode) that whole series should be deleted. Usually shows aren’t so triggering and I’ve been fine but the amount of people it’s affected negatively is horrible. How is showing graphic scenes going to help someone that’s been through something traumatic like that. There have been sensible shows like Degrassi that go through all teen issues without majorly triggering people. The people that made thirteen reasons why should be ashamed of themselves. If Brooklyn nine-nine can be brought back by people online, I think we can get rid of ‘Thirteen Reason Why’ if we fight hard enough. I’ve never been so uncomfortable in my life, I didn’t even watch the full scene I just saw them grab the broom and went NOPE. He was so lifeless.
It’s scary that content like this is accessible to children. My 12 year old sister can go watch that if she wants to. My 13 year old cousin already has. I feel so horrible for children, rape survivors or anyone that watched it that didn’t get a proper warning.
I know this shits real I had to watch my ex boyfriend cry and hate himself because of a family member molesting him, it’s real men are raped and molested too. But the way these issues are interpreted throughout the show are horrific. I’m scarred.
I’m not one of those people who are triggered easily and usually make posts like these. But I feel very strongly about ‘Thirteen Reasons Why’ being deleted and I know so many others do to.
