The haze
Is back.
As intense
And captivating
Distracting
As always.
It's back
After days.
I haven't missed it
didn't realize
the absence
And I was happy
After so many days
But now
The haze
Is back.

Book of the Week No. 2 Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher Rate: 9/10 Favorite Line: "You can't go back to how things were. How you thought they were. All you really have is... now." Review: This book is a critically-panned young-adult novel of Jay Asher published originally in the year 2007. The story goes after Clay Jensen, and when he unexpectedly received a box of cassette tapes recorded by Hannah Baker—his classmate and secret crush—who commited suicide two weeks earlier. This has received much criticisms from the media, crowd and even other authors. This is due to the reason that it tackles one of the sensitive facets for a young adult novel: Suicide. The way it was written is truly perfected by Jay Asher as if I would never even think of other author to have written this book. Also, praise to the creative chapter naming convention which really (I think) resulted why it is a page turner. Every sides of the tapes offer a thrilling journey. I have read this back in year 2013 in pdf and now on my deluxe edition hardbound. And I can say that, the suspense is still there even on the second read! The only thing that really makes me think about the aspect of the book is that it somehow glorifies (not at peak level though) suicide. It is wrong, I know. But, there is something in this story that is really inspiring. TO NOT DO SUICIDE AND FIND MEANING IN WHAT YOU DID/DO IN LIFE. I know we have differing coping mechanisms and this book shows the importance of friends / others that would help/hold you along. This book is like a diamond, made of entirely carbon (bad element, dark stuff) but still refracts the best of light. For me, Jay Asher's use of that bad ingredient—suicide and properly concocted that to this masterpiece is what makes this book stand out to other realistic fiction books out there. #fiction #books #novel #jayasher #thirteenreasonswhy #suicideprevention #bookstagram #bookrecommendations #bookreview #booklover #booknerd #bookaddict #bookphotography #goodreads https://www.instagram.com/p/CfbymqEPhEI/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
Book of the Week No.1 The Alchemist by Paulo Coehlo Rate: 9/10 Favorite Line: "It's the possibility of having a dream come true that makes life interesting." Review: This book is about the classic tale of a shepherd boy on his adventure in search for a treasure he believed to answer his recurring dreams. Adventure which leads to his reflection of life and discovery of true inner-self and purpose that impacted much his (and also your) notion of life. This book is a great read for anyone who are scared to go out of their comfort zones, to those who are afraid of failures and/or to those who are in search for an ever-changing meaning of life. This book could be set as more like a self-help book rather than a fiction tale. A good read that is worth to be discussed about. #fiction #books #novel #jayasher #thirteenreasonswhy #suicideprevention #bookstagram #bookrecommendations #bookreview #booklover #booknerd #bookaddict #bookphotography #goodreads https://www.instagram.com/p/CfbxQLtPtik/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
We enjoyed reading this novel by Jay Asher for many reasons. One of them was that this novel helps us understand that there may be more to other people’s lives than we know.
