Aragorn n Legolas r so funny to me bc people who don’t know lotr well see gruff manly ranger and elegant princely elf but they don’t know what i know. they don’t know that Aragorn is the long haired sensitive softboy writing sad poetry on his livejournal about not being able to show his girlfriend the awesome new song he wrote for her on his guitar meanwhile Legolas is doing backwards kickflips over gimli at the skate park bc gimli double dog dared him then he and gimli climb the tree at Aragorn’s house n yell at him through the window to come play halo

Couldn’t find it so I made another because you’re right that it’s a crime and it’s definitely my duty to remedy it
Happy Pride!
"Atom-bombed Mary", also known as Our Lady of Nagasaki.
It is a part of a wooden statue of Mother Mary that survived the atomic bombing of Nagasaki in 1945. It was found in the ruins of Urakami Cathedral.
why is this post completely broken in every way imaginable
Broken notes… deactivated account… removed image….
Finally, we have them all.
In addition: OP’s name is just… gone. No “[insert username]-deactivated[insert a bunch of numbers]” as is the standard for deactivated blogs.
Just the world “deactivated.” Look upon their post, ye mighty, and despair.
It’ll be almost impossible to find this post unless it wanders across your dash.
It wandered across mine. I shall help it travel forward.
As will I.
I my heart I like the idea of scouting programs, but I do totally get the argument that they're basically candy cigarette versions of right-wing paramilitaries.
There's no middle grounds, either right-wing paramilitaries or woke leftists corrupting the young. Having done both we have a blast at camp either way.
There needs to be more talk about the way autistic people can respond to pain differently.
I get sick, I injure myself, I feel pain, and I do not like it. But you can't see that by just looking at me a lot of the time. I almost never cry or make any sort of pain vocalizations. When I am sick I almost never "act sick", I will act as I normally do, only I sleep sooner and wear a mask/wash hands often when around people.
This is true even for severe pain and illnesses that I gather would have most people bedridden and moaning, such as rib fractures and influenza. Both of which I have just walked around with, "as if nothing was wrong", as put by my roommate.
This is the main reason for my medical neglect as a child. It never "looked like" I was in enough pain to be taken seriously. And if I attempted to perform pain, it looked like I was doing a terrible job at faking.
I have had to walk over a mile home with a dislocated kneecap because adults did not believe I was injured. I still have issues with that knee to this day. A doctor never even saw it because my parents didn't even want to see it, and didn't believe me, because I wasn't crying.
This is not the only case of this happening, it was such a common theme during my childhood that I stopped going to my parents when I was hurt or ill. I started going to my teachers instead, which caused CPS to be called. Nothing came of it, other than my parents getting angry with me for "lying about them", so I stopped going to my teachers for help too. And I learned to ignore every injury and illness I got until I moved out.
I was unable to express when I needed help, so I never got it.
THIS.
Coming to an annual check-up with a gnarly scar on my knee at 8 years old, my parents didn't take me to the hospital because I seemed fine. Later X-ray revealed that I had chipped a bit of bone, that must have been confused with gravel when my father cleaned my wound.
Arriving at the ER after 2 days of walking on a broken foot, I couldn't convince my mother to bring me to the hospital and trusted her judgement for 2 days before I just biked there. The hospital almost didn't do the x-rays and called it a bad hematoma at first.
Doing an x-ray of my ribcage and discovering signs of 9 old broken ribs, including 3 that set a bit crooked.
Being handed a pain scale with descriptions at the hospital. Being told that I couldn't be at a 10 because I was not crying and moaning, or writhing in pain. The other criteria was corresponding, just not the outward expression. I was at level 10 pain without relief for 6 weeks.
hello to my physically disabled friends. if you, like myself, spend a lot of time in bed and stick to one particular spot it might be worthwhile to see if your mattress needs rotating. i got mine shifted and it became immediately obvious that it had developed an indent and wasn't supporting me well. i could feel the difference immediately after lying down
Just be careful if the indent was situated next to a wall, as once rotated your mattress will have a downwards slope towards the empty space you climb on from.

oh to be a nun in 1350 enjoying quiet time and gardening and having lots of lesbian sex and then dying at the ripe old age of 36
Life expectancy statistics measure the average age of death. Because infant/childhood mortality was so incredibly high until recently, it really dragged down that average. If you exclude infant/childhood mortality from your statistic, you’ll see that humans (that survive childhood) have consistently lived into their 70s, meaning if you were a woman that survived childhood and never had to go through pregnancy, you may well get a good 50+ years of lesbian sex and gardening!

Like. I'm not even an apotheosis type of guy. But you do know that makes it sound so much cooler right?
I wish I was a stress cleaner. Never once has my response to stress been “time to employ some good habits”

Somebody was asked to remove a picture of a surgical scar on a group of stomachless people I'm on... it was a celebration of the fresh VS faded scar. I mean, all of us have scars, in order to remove an organ. But it was called "gory".
