Workout For Daily Life
Reblogging for the neck pain ones⌠whoa Nelly, do I ever get the most killer neck pains.
When I was in rehab for a broken hip, my physiotherapist taught me to do the hand/wrist, feet and neck exercises as well as leg extensions etc.
âItâs all connected,â heâd say. And heâs right :) I still do those exercises regularly and they help. They help a lot.
Itâs not just 11 years. An elephant never forgets.
Why does this keep reappearing on my dash? I have to reblog because there is no way Iâm risking 11 years on top of my already bad 4 yearsâŚ.
Sorry yâall, I wasnât tryna do it to you but they got my ass.
my life is already shit, i dont need 11 years of bad luckđ¤

Ladies, spread the news about Our Black Girls until the media closes the coverage gap
Erika Marie Rivers created the Our Black Girls website to shine a light on Black girls and women who have gone missing or were murdered, a d
Tens of thousands of Black girls and women go missing every year. Last year, that figure was nearly 100,000. Yet their cases hardly ever grab national headlines.
A journalist in California is doing what she can to try to change that, by telling as many of their stories as she can â and hopefully helping them get the justice they deserve.
Our Black Girls centers on the often-untold stories of Black girls and women who have gone missing or, in some cases, were found dead under mysterious circumstances. Launched by journalist and activist Erika Marie Rivers in 2018, the website is a one-woman show: Rivers spends her nights combing missing persons databases, archived news footage, old articles and whatever other information she can find to piece together these stories. And she does it all after her day job.
Rivers, 39, has worked in entertainment journalism for more than a decade. For her regular job at a music news website, she works an evening shift from 4 p.m. to midnight â but her nights don't end there. After she finishes her first job, she dives into her second, often working on stories for Our Black Girls well into the night.
Since the website's inception three years ago, Rivers has published an article roughly every other day. It's a grueling schedule, but she keeps it up because, as she explains, she could have easily been one of these missing girls and women. Anyone could.
In so many of the stories that Rivers writes about, the victims are "walking down the street or they're going to the store or 'they'll be right back,' and they just disappear," she says. "It could happen to me at any time."
"And I know that there are a lot of stories like that about girls and women who look like me, so why am I not seeing them as much as I'm seeing everything else? And then it became, why am I waiting for somebody else to pick up this banner when I'm the one who's passionate about it?"
There are other blogs and organizations that focus on missing Black people, but as Rivers says, "I can do it, that's the point."
Each post on Rivers' site chronicles the story of how a Black girl or woman went missing â and provides a fuller picture of who she is and how much she is loved, based on information from friends and family.
Sometimes, victims' loved ones will reach out to Rivers to express their gratitude after seeing the post; often, they're frustrated by their local police department's lack of action and are just grateful that someone somewhere has noticed and cares.
Other people reach out because they're surprised they've never heard of a case, even though it's something that happened right in their town.
On one occasion, Rivers wrote about a man who had murdered an entire family, and the daughter of a woman killed by the same man in a separate incident reached out to her, hoping to share her mother's story, too.
Rivers hopes that publicizing these stories will reignite interest, and authorities will be forced to take another look.
"I don't want to be just the latest person who writes about these girls and these women," she says. "I want there to be an end to their story or an end to this chapter, whether we find out what happened, whether somebody got justice, whatever it is."
The media ignores missing Black and Indigenous women
Black girls and women go missing at high rates, but that isn't reflected in news coverage of missing persons cases. In 2020, of the 268,884 girls and women who were reported missing, 90,333, or nearly 34% of them, were Black, according to the National Crime Information Center. Meanwhile, Black girls and women account for only about 15% of the U.S. female population, according to census data. In contrast, white girls and women â which includes those who identify as Hispanic â made up 59% of the missing, while accounting for 75% of the overall female population.
In light of these numbers, the disproportionate media attention on missing white girls and women is glaring. Often described as "missing white woman syndrome," the term most recently made headlines when MSNBC host Joy Reid discussed the Gabby Petito case. Petito was reported missing after her boyfriend returned from a cross-country trip without her; her case attracted nationwide coverage but put a spotlight on the harsh reality that people in other demographic groups don't receive the same attention when they vanish.
Authorities converged in Wyoming to search for Petito and found her remains at a national park. In the same state, more than 400 Indigenous girls and women went missing between 2011 and the fall of 2020, according to a state report. Indigenous people made up 21% of homicide victims in Wyoming between 2000 and 2020, despite being less than 3% of the state's population. The disparity can be seen in the media: Only 18% of Indigenous female victims received coverage. However, among white victims, 51% were in the news.
To be clear, Rivers explains, it's not about asking for more attention or being in "competition" with white people â it's about other groups getting the same attention as white victims and having their lives honored in the same ways.
"I'm talking about getting investigations up to par with what is already going on," she explains. "And I think when we bring that awareness, especially when it comes to Indigenous women and with Black women, and we're like, 'Hey, we exist as well.' It's not to say stop searching for that white woman. It's like, search for our women as much as you do anybody else and make sure that whatever energy that you place into one case is the same energy that you place into others."
You can help support efforts to find the missing
Rivers isn't the only one trying to highlight these cases. Two Black women founded the Black and Missing Foundation in 2008 to bring attention to the thousands of Black people who go missing every day in the U.S. And podcasts like Crime Noir, Black Girl Gone and Black Girl Missing are working tirelessly to honor these stories as well.
There is power in forming community. "We really are our sister's keeper," Rivers says.
For others who want to be a part of the solution, Rivers suggests staying informed of what's happening, especially in your own community, and sharing the information that you do see. That can mean retweeting a missing person's alert or sharing it on Facebook. Contact your local news organizations and investigative agencies and ask for updates.
You can also support those who are doing the work through blogs and podcasts, as well as via Instagram accounts and Facebook groups dedicated to keeping people informed on the cases of missing Black girls and women.
However, Rivers warns against sensationalizing someone's real-life tragedy â an ever-present risk in the true crime community.
Remember that "these were actual human beings with families and with hopes and dreams and purpose," she says. "These are real humans that laughed, cried, smiled and did not expect to not see tomorrow, did not expect to vanish off the face of the Earth. And I want to make sure that they are respected and honored."
Every post on Our Black Girls ends the same: "She is our sister and her life matters." And that is something that must be remembered.

Summary: Honey-Senpai tries not to have favorites when it comes to his regulars but he definitely does. (Y/n)-Chan! The third-year canât help it, sheâs just the perfect amount of perfect and he canât hold it in any longer! Today is the day where he asks her out.
Words:
âYouâre just too cute Honey-Senpai!â You giggle to yourself as you watch him scarf down an entire piece of cake.
Personally to you Honey-Senpai was the best choice at the end of the day to talk to, such a reliever from all the flattering.
You can always count on him to make you smile and feel welcomed, which is ironic seeing as heâs the last one you see everyday.
Honey-Senpai was no more than honored at the fact,he was the last face you wanted to see everyday, that youâd view him as the finale.
His longtime crush, his lighthouse in the darkened sea, the only person he would allow to wake him up from a nap. Even though you felt no more remarkable than any other girl who came to visit him, you were everything.
âYouâre even cuter (Y/n)-chan, come have some!â
He made sure you knew.

The hostsâ reactions to you in a swimsuit
For this post letâs assume the S/O is female. The first part will be what youâre wearing and then the hostâs reaction to it. **Feel free to send me asks and headcanons you want me to write**
Tamaki: *what youâre wearing*
A high-neck, high-waisted bikini set. The top is white with green and pink floral accents, matching bottoms.Â
*How he reacts*
He acts smooth and flirts with a bunch of girls, because thatâs his job, but you know he is flustered deep down at the thought of you in revealing clothing. You go to his fatherâs private beach in France for spring break and seductively strip off your cover-up, carefully watching his reaction. He catches his breath sharply, his hands grabbing and twisting the towel heâs sitting on, and watches as you put on a little show for him. His face flushes red, and he silently gets up and takes off his shirt before pulling you against his chest. He buries his mouth in your hair, whispering how beautiful you are, and against his bare skin you can feel how hot heâs getting. You didnât expect him to get so emotional. You donât know why he is.
Kyoya: *what youâre wearing*
A skimpy red triangle bikini with a matching thong.Â
*How he reacts*
Kyoya gets angry, almost, that you wonât put on a towel as you walk to the beach. Not because he doesnât want to show you off, but because he knows youâre doing this to annoy him. Heâs always preferred you dress more conservatively in public to protect the Ootori image, though all the clothes come off when youâre alone together. You turn him on like nothing else and it bothers him that you are dressed like that when he canât take you right then and there. And you know it. His eyes are angry as you prance all over the public beach, showing yourself off. You know he will punish you as soon as youâre in private. The fun is just making him wait.
Hikaru: *what youâre wearing*Â
A very athletic bikini. The top is like a sports bra, pink with black vertical stripes on the sides. The bottom is a matching black bikini short.
*How he reacts*
Youâre practically always wearing a sports bra. You and he are both very athletic and you often work out together, so thatâs just what you wear most of the time. He loves peeling it away from your hot, sticky body when youâre about to jump in the shower, so why would your swimsuit be any different? Itâs a no-nonsense bikini, modest enough to protect yourself as you play volleyball but still sexy enough for his sake. He lets his eyes roam over you, watching your form as you stretch. You get sweaty playing games and sunbathing, and he thinks about stripping the top away in the shower laterâhe gets a boner thinking about it, and you two go into the water up to your necks to take care of it.
Kaoru: *what youâre wearing*Â
Youâre small-chested, so a cute bandeau top fits your figure best. You bought multiple bandeaus and bikini bottoms to match, and you generally let him pick which combination for you to wear. His favorite is a bright yellow top with white bottoms that have little strings attached to them that trail down your thighs.
*how he reacts*Â
Heâs lying on the ground on the towel when you take off his t-shirt. You strike a pose for him, and he just grins and pulls you down on top of him for a kiss. He loves the way you lay on top of him, your bare stomachs pressed together, legs intertwining. While the salty wind blows your hair in his face, he peppers your cheeks and neck with kisses and just goes on about how pretty you are and how he wants everyone to look at you. He doesnât care how much skin you showâas long as he gets to see all of you later.
Honey: *what youâre wearing*
You keep it innocent with Honey by wearing a pink polka-dot one-piece suit and putting your hair in two braids.
*how he reacts*
Youâre shy around Honey. You donât know why. Maybe itâs because heâs so small, and youâre both so young, but you just feel weird thinking about getting even partially naked with him yet. He understands your concerns and doesnât even mind. When you come out of the dressing cabana, he rushes over to you and gives you a big hug, yammering about how now you look like a piece of cake or candy.
Takashi: *what youâre wearing*
A monokini (almost like a one-piece, but with a section in the stomach and back cut out to look like a bikini while connected on the sides). It is white with thin blue and red vertical lines.
*how he reacts*
You and Takashi have a gentle, innocent yet sexual relationship. He always takes your needs into consideration and doesnât push you to do anything in public that you donât want (though youâll make up for it in bed later). Neither of you really likes PDA, and as a result, you generally donât wear revealing clothing in public. You donât like people looking at you, preferring to keep the goods for Takaâs eyes only. When you walk out and start applying sunscreen, he looks at you and smiles, lightly squeezing your butt before whispering how good you look.
Anon requested: Okay but imagine this: reader quarantining with Eddie (and venom too ofc)
A/n: Day 2 of the V Weekathon! How many of you guys have seen the movie so far? Inbox is open if anyone wants to request or chat!
Every day seemed to be filled with more and more boredom. You three had run out of things to do, and by the marks on the calendar, it's only been 3 days. With a huff, you slouched back on the couch and dropped the tv remote onto the cushion, "I'm bored."
"Hi, bored." Eddie replied, half heartedly waving his hand, "I'm Eddie."
You whined a little as you laid your head in his lap, looking up at him, "No, really...I think I'm gonna lose my shit if we have to stay inside any longer."
Eddie didn't even flinch, or look at you. He just took a sip of his drink and continued to stare at the tv, "This isn't exactly fun for me either."
"Or me. Don't forget me."
"Or him." Eddie added.
You ran your hands over your face, groaning, "We could take a nap."
"We just woke up from a nap."
"We could play monopoly again."
"We don't say the M-word anymore." Eddie said flatly, still staring at the tv.
"Right. Right." you sighed, racking your brain for literally any other thing to do, "Well, we couldn't play that anyways. Venom tore the board in half."
"We can tape it." Venom chirped, "I promise I won't rip it again."
"That's what you said yesterday about Chutes and Ladder's, you liar." Eddie cut in, setting his cup on the table.
"I am not a liar. I really promise to not rip things anymore."
"We could bake a cake." you interrupted them.
"We already baked two of them." Venom said, drawing your attention to the dirty kitchen where two of the ugliest decorated cakes sat on the counter.
"How about...We clean up our messes?"
You heard two sets of groans as Eddie laid his head on the back of the couch.
"Guys, c'mon, help me." you whined, kicking your feet into the end cushion, "I'm so-"
"Bored. We know."
"Bored. We know."
"There's gotta be something we can do."
There was a really long pause as you looked up at Eddie again, seeing him just stare at the ceiling.
"Anything at all." you said, twiddling your fingers, "Anything that'll pass the time."
"We have movies."
"We've already watched most of them." Eddie said, taking his turn to whine, "This shit sucks."
"We have Netflix." Venom replied, not appreciating Eddie's attitude.
You and Eddie both shared a questioning look. You opened your mouth, but Eddie seemed to speak first, "Who the hell is paying for it? It's not me."
"Who said it was OURS?" Venom spat.
You sat upright, "Venom? Did you steal someone's Netflix account?"
You were expecting an honest answer. Maybe the old lady downstairs didn't get it and gave some sort of info to Eddie. Or, more likely, Venom had overheard someone talking about it in passing.
"We don't steal- Okay, rephrasing that real fast, we don't steal personal accounts...In this household."
A small tendril whipped over to Eddie's jacket and rummaged through it before slinking back over and handing you a small, crumpled card. You took a minute to look it over, realizing that Venom had simply swiped this from some criminal or some poor soul he ate.
"Oh." you said, "Well, I mean..In that case..I guess-"
"What are we watching first?"
"We're gonna have a serious talk about your kleptomania." Eddie sighed.
"That's not a movie. Try again."
While they bickered, you picked a movie that you were certain Venom had never seen. Normally he loves- Surprisingly- Romance movies. You and Eddie would've pegged him to be, of course, the loud action type. But, no. His reasoning is that he just like how quiet and nice they are.
You picked Lilo & Stitch. It wasn't a romance, but you were sure it would check some sort of box with Venom. Eddie didn't protest much outside, "I've seen this a million times."
To which you replied, "Well, what will a million and once more hurt?"
Needless to say, Eddie was the one who wound up crying a little.
"What's wrong?" Venom almost seemed just as upset, "Didn't you like it?"
Eddie wiped his eyes on his sweatshirt, "No, it was good."
You leaned forward a little.
"Why's everyone lookin' at me?" he asked, sniffling, "It's just that the little guy didn't have a family. Leave me alone."
"It's okay, Eddie."
"It's okay, Eddie."
You, with the help of Venom, got cozy in his lap and snatched the remote, "Let's pick a movie that'll sure make you feel better."
Eddie continued to wipe off his face, "I can see you picking The Notebook. Give it here, it's my turn."
You held the remote out of his reach, trying to hit the play button.
"You said feel better, not worse." Eddie was trying to hold you in his lap and yoink the remote all at once.
While you two play fought, Venom was the one who saw his chance and took it. With the remote in his grasp, and you two at his mercy, you and Eddie joined forces in an attempt to get the remote back.
"Stop before he puts on Sweet Home Alabama again." Eddie said, trying to swipe at the tendrils as Venom tossed the remote around.
You were now standing on the couch, frantically waving your hands around, "I'll make you a hot fudge sundae!"
Venom pondered his choices, but he chose violence. You both had to deal with whatever he chose.
Protective
Eddie x reader x Venom
Venom thinking.
Venom speaking aloud.
Moving to San Francisco had been a spur of the moment decision. You had only spent a day thinking over the pros and cons before packing up your life and purchasing a bus ticket.Â
Realistically, it was one of the dumbest decisions youâd ever made in your life. You spent the first week in the new city living in a motel before finding a lead on an apartment.Â
It was a shitty one bedroom, one bathroom apartment in a sketchy neighbourhood, and you loved it.
âOh shit, motherfucker.â You jumped as one of your boxes crashed to the floor. âSon of a bitch.â You sighed, kneeling down to pick up the mess.
âHere, let me help.â You heard before suddenly someone was kneeling before you, holding a pair of jeans out to you.Â
âThank you.â You smiled, taking the denim from him. âBut you really donât have to. Iâve had to clean up plenty of my own messes before.â You joked.
âTrust me, so have I.â The man cracked a grin. âIâm Eddie. I live in 1404.â Eddie introduced himself, holding a hand out towards you.
âNice to meet you, Eddie. Iâm Y/N, moving into 1403.â You said, shaking his hand.
âOh, great. I didnât realize anyone would be moving in already.â Eddie mentioned.
âWell, I saw an opening in my price range, so I didnât have much time to wait.â You joked. âWere you close with the previous owner?â You asked as the two of you rose to stand.
âUh, no, not really. The guy was kinda kind of a dick. You donât play guitar, do you?â Eddie asked, causing you to laugh.
âOne of those neighbours, huh? No, you wonât hear any guitar from me, I promise. Though, if the walls are as thin as I think, you might hear me walking around before the crack of dawn.â You told the man.Â
âI can live with that. As long as youâre okay hearing the same from my side of the hall.â Eddie mentioned.Â
âI think I can live with that. Maybe Iâll invite you over for some hot chocolate one night.â You teased.
âYes,â Eddie growled before letting out a series of coughs. âI mean, yeah, that sounds great. You, uh, you need any help moving in?â
âI think Iâve got it from here. Thanks for your help.â You smiled at the man.Â
âYeah, no worries.â
âIâll be seeing you around, Eddie."Â
"Yeah, weâll, Iâll, be seeing you too, Y/N.â Eddie waved before rushing into his apartment.
âNot the weirdest neighbour Iâve had.â You shrugged.
It could be said that you were not the most graceful of a person.
It could even be suggested that you were a klutz.
But even you would freely admit that on less than four hours of sleep, you were as graceful as an elephant in a china shop.
âShit! Fucking a man.â You sighed, looking down at the broken mug and shattered plate. âSorry, nana L/N.â You said before kneeling down to pick up the mess.
KNOCK! KNOCK! KNOCK!
âJust a sec!â You called before remembering guiltily how thin the walls were. âOh, shit, sorry, Eddie. I didnât mean to wake you.â You promised seeing your neighbour standing in your doorway.
âTrust me, you didnât.â Eddie chuckled weakly. âIs everything okay? I heard something crash.â
âI mighta dropped my breakfast and ruined some of nannaâs dishes.â You sighed, looking back at the mess.
âBreakfast? Itâs two in the morning.â
âI got hungry.â You shrugged. âAnd that was the last of my groceries.â You realized with a groan.
âHavenât gotten around to shopping yet?â Eddie wondered with a smirk.Â
âI havenât even got my bed frame set up yet.â You admitted with a blush. âOh well, Iâll go shopping in the morning.â
âYou know, I got a box of Tater Tots in my freezer just begginâ to be shared,â Eddie mentioned before flinching slightly.
âOh, no, I couldnât put you out like that, Eddie.â You frowned.
âYou wouldnât be. âSides I already offered, and it wouldnât be the best  impression to make on your new neighbour to deny it.â Eddie teased.
âAre you sure?â
âN-Yes. Yeah, Iâm sure.â Eddie coughed.
âAlright, just let me put a sweater on.â You told your neighbour.
âDoorâll be unlocked. Take your time.â Eddie told you with a smile before rushing back towards his apartment.Â
Eddie Brock was definitely one of your stranger neighbours, but he was certainly not your worst.
KNOCK! KNOCK!
âItâs open.â You called without looking away from the computer before you.
âYou know you should always check whoâs at the door, right?â Eddie asked, closing the door behind him. âEspecially at three in the morning.â
âThree-thirty.â You corrected as Eddie sat heavily beside you on the couch.
âNot any better, Y/N.â Eddie sighed/ âHere, eat this.â He said, placing a bag on your lap.
âWhat is it?â You wondered, still not looking away from your computer.
âFood. You know, the thing youâre supposed to eat, but I know you havenât.
Eddie sassed you. "Seriously, youâre startinâ to look like a bag oâ bones, Y/N.â
âWhen did you become my nanna?â You teased the man.
âWhen I learnt youâre even shitter at takinâ care of yourself than I am,â Eddie told you.
â"If Iâd known you were going to judge me so much, I wouldnât have given you  key all those months ago.â You groaned loudly.
It had been eight months since youâd moved into your apartment and met Eddie.
The two of you had become fast friends, bonding over your careers, love of food, and your terrible habits of forgetting to take care of yourselves.
âYeah, well, we, I like to keep my mother hen tendencies on the down-low,â Eddie said. âRuin our, my, reputation otherwise.â He joked.
âSure, sure. Whatever.â You rolled your eyes, barely noting Eddieâs failed attempts to cover his mistakes.
After knowing Eddie for eight months, you hardly noticed anymore when Eddie referred to himself with multiple pronouns. You simply figured it was a weird quirk.
âAre you going to eat your burger? Donât make me take your computer away.â Eddie teased.
âHow could you be so cruel? I thought we were friends.â Â You gasped, mock horrified, before unwrapping your meal. âOh, fuck. Thatâs what I needed.â
âOkay, you velociraptor, calm down. No one going to take it from you.â
âI hadnât realized that I was starving.â You said, inhaling another large bite.
âWhen was the last time you ate anything?â Eddie questioned you, his brow furrowing.
âI had a slice of buttered bread about eighteen hours ago. The rest of the loaf was mouldy.â You shrugged.
âChrist, Y/N. Do I even want to know when the last time you slept was?â
âWith the face, youâre giving me probably not.â
âYouâre killing yourself, you know that, right?â
âSlowly but surely. Weâve all gotta go sometime, Ed.â You shrugged.
âY/N,â Eddie lowly said, his blank stare burning a hole into the side of your face.
âIâm not trying to, Eddie. I just donât have time for a sleep schedule or regular meal times. I have things to do.â You sighed, putting your burger down to focus on your friend. âAnd donât pretend you havenât been in my exact place before because I know you have.â
âIâm not saying I havenât. But even I know you gotta take breaks. Otherwise, one day youâre gonna kneel over.â Eddie told you. âAnd if that happens, weâll have lost our best neighbour.â He added, breaking the tension of the room.
âGod knows what your next will be like.â You teased with a small smile. âBut I get your point. Iâll take the rest of the night off, scouts honour.â You swore.
âItâs already four in the morning, Y/N. Youâll take the rest of the day off.â Eddie gently corrected you.
âFine, but just this once and only because you got me fries.â You told the man.Â
âWhat would you do if I told you we also got you a Pepsi?â Eddie asked, handing you a styrofoam cup.
âGonna have to marry you now.â You said, gulping half the drink down. âOh, God, sugar. That cured the headache.â
âY/N.â
âMight not have had much to drink today either.â You admitted with a blush.Â
âWhat are we gonna do with you?â Eddie sighed loudly, leaning his head back on your couch.
âYouâre gonna have to figure that one out yourself.â
Non-Reader POV
âShe needs to eat more."Â Venom said once he and Eddie left Y/N to sleep.
"I know that, bud.â Eddie sighed, running his fingers through his hair.
âWe need to make her eat more. And sleep.â Venom continued.
âSheâs an adult, Vee. And her own person. We canât make her do anything.â Eddie pointed out to the symbiote.
Venom didnât respond to Eddieâs reasoning except for letting out a discontent growl.
âI know you donât like that, bud, but thereâs not much we can do.â
âWe can help.â Venom firmly said. âWe can protect.â
âYeah, okay, bud. But only as much as Y/N allows us to.â
Almost a week after Venom declared his desire to protect and help their neighbour, Eddie awoke to Venomâs low voice and the sensation of being poked.
âEddie," Venom spoke, only for Eddie to groan and stuff his face further into the mattress. "Wake up, Eddie.â Venom demanded, poking his host with even more force.
Eddie merely batted a hand at Venom without even raising his head.
âDonât ignore us, Eddie."Â Venom growled before rolling the two onto the floor.
"What the fuck, Vee!â Eddie yelled, now suddenly wide awake.
âSomeoneâs in the hallway.â Venom told his host.
âAnd you canât check for yourself?â Eddie groaned, pushing himself to his feet.
âThey smell distressed. And wrong."Â
"Because that makes so much sense,â Eddie said under his breath before making his way to the door clad in only his boxers.
Eddie took one glance through the peephole before he was tearing the door open.
âJesus. Y/N.â The man gasped, staring at the woman on the floor in horror.
Y/N was stuck on her side. Her eyes were wild wide open, and trying desperately to focus on her surroundings.
Her face was a mess of stains courtesy of her running makeup, and when she heard Eddieâs voice, her tears began to slow.
Help! Protect! Venom began to scream, prompting Eddie into action.
âAlright, Y/N, come on. Letâs get you upright, huh?â Eddie rambled quietly as he slowly helped Y/N sit upright before gently helping her to her feet.
âEddie?â Y/N whimpered as the man lead her into his apartment.
âRight here, Y/N. Weâre right here.â Eddie promised, gently sitting Y/N down on the couch.Â
The woman let out a groan before promptly falling onto her side.
âY/N, can you tell me what happened? I need to know if you need a doctor.â
âWent on a date. Editor set me up with him. He put something in my drink?â
âYour date?â
âHm. Told him I didnât feel well. He took me into the alleyway.â Y/N mumbled, pressing her face into the cushions.
âY/N? Did he? Were you?â Eddie struggled to get the question out over his and Venomâs combined rage.
âNo. I shoved him over. He hit his head.â Y/N said before letting out a loud groan. âI donât feel good. I donât feel good at all.â Y/N cried, reaching a hand out blindly for Eddie.
âIâm gonna get you something to drink, sweetheart,â Eddie said, gently sitting Y/N upright.
âNo, donât go. Donât leave me.â Y/N whined.
âIâm not going anywhere,â Eddie promised, kneeling in front of the woman. âIâm just getting you something to drink. We need to flush your system, okay? Iâm right here.â
âOkay,â Y/N whispered after a minute, resting her head on the armrest. âI donât know why I even went out.â Y/N began to ramble as Eddie filled a glass. âI donât want anyone.â
âNo one?â Eddie asked as Venom whined sadly.Â
âNo one but Eddie.â Y/N shook her head. âHe lives across the hall from me. I like him. Really, really.â
âYou do?â Eddie questioned in surprise at Y/Nâs admission.
âUh-huh. Eddieâs sweet, and heâs weird. But Eddieâs really good to me. I love him.â Y/N mumbled, her eyes closing mid-sentence.
âY/N? Y/N?â Eddie asked, gently shaking the woman.
âSheâs asleep.â Venom told his host. âShe smells calmer.â
âShe said she loved me,â Eddie murmured, staring down at the sleeping woman.
âLoves." Venom corrected. "Y/N said she loves us.â
âSheâs been drugged. She canât have meant it.â Eddie shook his head as he pulled a blanket over the unconscious woman.Â
âShe didnât smell like lies.âÂ
âWell, it doesnât matter anyway. Y/Nâs been through too much shit tonight for me to ask her anything.â Eddie shook his head.
âEddie. Y/N is strong. Do not think her weak so quickly.â
âI donât think sheâs weak.â Eddie snapped before letting out a sigh. âJust drop it, Vee. No more tonight. Please?â
âFine." Venom grumbled. "Weâre not leaving Y/N. Not tonight, not ever.â
âI know, bud. Iâm not either.â
Reader POV
Your eyes were closed but even shut, you could tell the sun was burning brightly.
A groan escaped your lips as a loud crash echoed in your ears, and you shoved your head further into the pillow it was resting on.
Except it wasnât your pillow that you were laying on.Â
It itched against your cheek and didnât smell like your bed. It smelled like,
âShit, Iâm sorry, Y/N,â Eddie swore, causing you to squint your eyes open.
Eddie was standing in the threshold of his kitchen, staring at you with worried eyes.
âEddie?â You croaked, throat drier than the desert. âWhy am I on your couch?â You asked, coughing as you sat up.
âHere, drink this.â Eddie rushed forward, grabbing a glass off the table and pushing it into your hands.Â
âThanks.â You whispered, gulping down half of the liquid. âEddie, why I am in your apartment?â
âY/N, what do you remember about last night?â Eddie gently questioned you, causing you to cock your head.Â
âLast night?â You wondered aloud before your mind caught up with you. âOh, God.â You whispered, hand flying to cover your mouth in horror.
âHey, itâs alright, Y/N. Youâre safe with me.â Eddie promised.Â
âHe drugged me, that asshole fucking drugged me.â You said, letting out a disbelieving laugh. âHe tried to, what a piece of shit.â You swore, brushing hair out of your face. âAnd I, oh God, I,â You gasped, staring at Eddie in horror.
âTold me you loved me?â Eddie guessed the cause of your shock.
âOh shit, I did.â You groaned, forcing your head into your hands. âLook, Eddie, please can we just forget anything I said last night. I donât want this to be weird. We can still be neighbours. Just, letâs forget the whole thing.â You quickly said as you jumped to your feet.
Your head spun at your frantic movements, and you felt your knees began to give.
Before you could hit the floor, arms wrapped around you and held you close.
âOkay, letâs sit you down before you whack your head on the floor,â Eddie said, helping you sit back down before kneeling in front of you. Â
âEddie, Iâm so sorry, really. I never meant to make you feel uncomfortable.â You apologized, cheeks burning in shame. âI didnât want to tell you, and certainly not like that.â
âY/N, youâre not making me uncomfortable,â Eddie promised. âTruth be told, I like you too. But I didnât want to push you, and I donât want to rush you after last night.â He admitted.
âYeah?â
âYeah, Y/N.â Eddie smiled, tenderly holding your hands in his. âBut I canât in good consciousness rush you into anything after last night. Christ, I was so scared you were gonna die on me last night, but Iâm not gonna force a relationship onto you.â
âYou wouldnât be forcing me into anything.â You told the man, squeezing his hands tightly.
âAll the same, I wouldnât feel good if we took this too fast.â Eddie shook his head. âBut I want you, I want you so much, so how about we take this slow?â
âAnd how slow are you proposing, Mr Brock?â
âI could take you out for a couple dates. To a bar, out to eat, usual couple shit like that. And we can stay in and get takeout, and I can show you my favourite movies, and you can show me yours.â Eddie suggested.
âWe already do that last part.â You smiled at the man.Â
Yeah, well, now we can say theyâre dates.â Eddie grinned. "And we can talk. Get to know everything about each other before we decide if this is what you want. That sound alright to you?â
âThat sounds great to me.â
âSo, what do you say I order us some breakfast, and we can find some crappy reality show to watch mindlessly?â Eddie pitched to you.
âIâd say you read my mind, Eddie.â
âBabe, can you pass me my soda?â Eddie asked, holding one hand out as he continued to type with the other.
âHere, you go.â You said, passing the drink over without taking your eyes off the screen before you.
âThanks, sweetheart."Â
It had been four months since you and Eddie agreed to take things slow, and this was one of the best ways you could think of spending your afternoon.Â
The two of you silently working away, you on whatever chapter you were working on and Eddie researching away at his newest expose, but sitting with one another.
The two of you would spend many afternoons like this, and you enjoyed the simplicity of the activity.
You werenât sure how long the two of you remained typing away at your respective pieces before Eddieâs head suddenly snapped up.
"Eddie?â You asked, looking away from your computer as Eddie glared at the door. âWhat are you doing?â You questioned before Eddie shushed you.
Before you could ask Eddie why he was shushing you, you heard your front door clicking open.
You stared in shock as a man in a dark hoodie now filled your doorway, a gun clear in his hands.
âGet on the ground!â The man demanded, shutting your door behind him. âNow!â He commanded when neither of you moved.
You quickly pushed your computer to the side before complying with the manâs request.Â
But Eddie didnât.
Eddie merely moved to stand in front of you before confronting the intruder.
âKid, why donât you just put that thing down and get out of here?â Eddie asked, crossing his arms.
âAre you fucking deaf? I said, get on the ground! Get down now before I shoot!â The unknown man yelled, waving the gun around unsteadily.
âYou really picked the wrong place to rob.â Eddie sighed before his skin began to ripple, and he was suddenly gone.
In his place stood the Demon of San Francisco. A creature youâd only paid attention to a handful of times in passing but now had your full attention.
The thief turned pale at the sight of the black beast, but before he could run away, one of the Demonâs long arms shot out and clutched him by the neck.
âHow dare you come to our nest and threaten our sweetling?"Â The beast lowly growled, bearing its teeth threateningly.
"Holy shit, I didnât mean to, man! I swear!â
âNot good enough.â The Demon hissed before leaning its head back and swallowing the thief whole.
âWhat. The. Fuck?â You asked as you slowly rose to your feet. The creature turned to face you before bleeding away and revealing Eddie.
âY/N, I can explain everything.â Eddie blurted out, looking incredibly guilty.
âThe explanation is that either Iâm incredibly sleep-deprived and hallucinating, which we both know is a lie, thanks to your ridiculous sleep schedule, or youâre sharing your body with an alien.â
âAnd youâre, youâre okay with that?â Eddie stammered. âYouâre not freaking out.â
âEddie, we live in a world of Gods and mutants and whatever the fuck else. This is barely making my top ten strangest days.â You deadpanned. âWhat I do want to know is were you ever gonna tell me?â
âWe were. We were gonna sit you down one day and explain everything. Then maybe introduce you to Vee if you didnât run off screaming.â Eddie promised. âWe wanted to ease you into it.â
âSo, just to clarify, you donât have multiple personalities because I really was putting my money on it.â
âSorry?â
âYou refer to yourself as 'weâ or use 'ourâ, and you talk to yourself more than most people do.â
âNo, itâs just Vee. Thereâs no one else living in here.â Eddie swore to you.
âOkay. Cool.â You nodded.
âCool?â
âYeah, cool. So, are you gonna let me meet Vee?â You questioned the man.
âYou want to meet him?â Eddie asked, jaw faltering.
âWell, I figure heâs his own being, even if he shares your body, and that technically makes him my boyfriend, too, right?"Â
"Holy shit, Y/N, I love you.â Eddie gasped, jumping forward and cupping your face gently with his hands before smashing his lips to yours.
âI love you, too, you goofball.â You smiled once you pulled apart. âNow, c'mon, let me meet Vee properly.â You whined, causing Eddie to smile.
A small black head with large white eyes appeared by Eddieâs shoulder, connecting to Eddieâs body by what almost looked like black cord.
âHello, sweetling."Â Vee purred as his face came closer to yours.
"Hi, Vee. Itâs nice to meet you.â You said, bringing your hand up to cup his surprisingly smooth cheek.
âYouâre not scared?"Â Venom wondered, tilting his head slightly.Â
"No.â You answered the being honestly. âIf Eddieâs let you play hotel with his body, Iâm guessing that means your good. And you havenât shown me to be wrong yet.â You told Vee.
âOh, sweetling, weâre gonna have fun together.â Vee hummed, causing you and Eddie to smile.
âIâm gonna hold you to that. Both of you.â You said, looking between the men.
