So I came up with this great idea for a fake beard using fiber mascara and I realized there were no tutorials out there for this already. So I made one myself. It works really well and is very realistic!!
here are some links to some fiber mascaras as well as the type I used (I’m sure you guys can find one at a cheaper price though)
here is the absolute best crossplay makeup tutorial I highly recommend it
I’m so sorry for my handwriting I did my best I swear

From a post by Mandy Pursley, with Ryan Pursley:
At long last…Cinderella – with a glass ARM! ❤️
After a medical fiasco kept me from competing at a costume competition this summer, I was going to keep these photos under wraps for another year to try again. But a friend asked me today if I had any pictures I could share with a little girl who was born with one arm, and I realized that we never know what the future may hold…but we can still bring joy to people today!
This whole project was done with a lot of love. When my daughter was studying Cinderella stories at school last year, I realized that even though there were so many beautiful tales from around the world, there were still no princesses who looked like ME! When I was growing up with a physical difference, I never saw girls like myself represented in the media, so it took me a long time to realize that what makes us different can also be the thing that makes us strong, beautiful, and unapologetically unique.
So what do you do when you can’t find a princess like you? You make up your own! I spent countless hours sewing Cinderella’s ballgown and her Prince’s uniform. And my fairy godfather Gilbert Lozano brought everything together with the most amazing glass arm (glass slippers are SO last year! 😉 )
This costume is dedicated to all the little girls learning to navigate the world with their “lucky fins” or other challenges. I hope you know you are beautiful, and that you are UNSTOPPABLE!!! Write your own story, and be your own kind of princess. ❤
(Many, MANY thanks to all the people who helped turned this dream into reality! My real-life Prince Charming, Ryan Pursley, who didn’t think I was crazy while I kept sewing for MONTHS. Gilbert, the brilliant artist who didn’t even know me but believed in my dream and is now a cherished friend. Eric Morris and Nick Ibarra at Cemrock who generously offered their equipment and assistance to create the glass arm. Jennifer Woodard at Hanger Clinic in Vista, CA for helping me figure out how to attach the prosthetic, and of course the amazing Kelly Anderson for taking such beautiful photographs!! Who needs magic when you are surrounded by such talented and generous people!)
UPDATE: WOW, WOW, WOW! I am literally just blown away by all the love and support here. All of you fabulous people have created this beautiful corner of positivity and light and are just shooting it out there and it is AMAZING. But my most favorite part is seeing all these little “lucky fin” princesses and princes in the comments. Please shower these kids with all the love too because they are adorable and awesome exactly the way they are! I know they are going to write some great stories one day too! ❤️

THIS IS SO FUCKING COOL!!! 10/10 amazing cosplay!!
We ran into a couple times into Katamari fans. There are more than we think out there! Every time we walk the convention floor, people starts singing the theme song of the game. It makes them happy to see us and we are happy to share the Katamari love :) We even saw a congoer with a Prince tattoo and we gave him a tiny 3D printed Katamari we had with us!
I (Tania) always loved to make unconventional cosplays. I like to make costumes not often seen in cons from fandoms I like. That’s why, in 2015, I chose the Queen and King of All Cosmos as my 2nd and 4th cosplays made from scratch. At first, I dared my boyfriend (Nikolas) to be my King of All Cosmos and he accepted the challenge! He had never cosplayed before and we still cosplay together 4 years after. We visited about 3-4 conventions in Canada with our Katamari costumes, including Otakuthon and Montreal Comiccon!
I made both cosplays by myself, except for the electronics which Nikolas doing. Has beginners, it took longer than expected! I spent 6 months part time on the Queen and more than a year on the King of Cosmos. The heads are made from thick hat interfacing which is lightweight are surprisingly comfortable for me, because it is hollow. For the king though, it is filled with wires for the electronics (130 LEDs in total all around it, molded in resin) so it is kind of heavy. The huge collar helps to balance the weight on his shoulders so it is bearable! All the tiny details on the heads were hand cut in 2mm eva foam, then airbrushed before glued, one by one, on the head. The King has more than a thousand pieces on it. I used a woodcarving tool to burn holes for the LEDs to go through the interfacing and Nikolas did the soldering carefully inside the head. That was quite the challenge!
For me, cosplay is a way to express my creativity, find new things to learn and surpass myself. It encourages me to go out of my comfort zone. Nikolas is more and more involved in the cosplays I make for both of us, making us a great team. Cosplay helped me to be more confident in myself and less scared of what people think of me. I also do cosplay because I can make people smile with something I put a lot of love, time and effort on. I even realized that cosplay help people around me be more open about people dressing up all year round, and not only for Halloween!

FlexiPaint and Metallic Powder Pigments Tutorial
Hi there! I’ve done a tutorial video to show you a quick technique to get an amazing metallic effect on foam! Foam yes! And it’s still flexible and looks very amazing I believe! I just used some FlexiPaint combined with metallic powder pigments. You’ll see in the tutorial that it is very easy to use!
Hope this video helps! And if you appreciate it, don’t forget to share it to your friends!
By the way, I could buy the products I used in that video thanks to Ko-Fi supporters! Thank you very much for that support!

🚫 THIS BLOG IS TAKING PART IN THE ANTI-CENSORSHIP PROTEST ON DECEMBER 17th 🚫
The owner of this Blog will be making as much noise at Tumblr Staff about how horrible this ban in on other sites such as Twitter or Facebook.
The owner of this blog will be logging out of all accounts for the entirety of the 17th. Will Not run a queue. Will not even check the dash. Or give the money hungry executives a single page view to squeeze ad revenue out of
The owner of this blog believes in an ACTUAL positive, better, safer Tumblr and well be doing their part to fight for it by logging out on the 17th of December.
For everyone’s information:
The plan for the 17th, when the adult content ban comes in, is to protest.
To do that, we are making as much noise either side of the 17th as possible, and using the site as normal.
On the 17th, dead silence.
People are saying log off but what they really mean is don’t open the site or the app.
But, on the 17th make as much noise as possible on every other platform. Tweet about it and post on facebook and instagram and everywhere else.
What this does is causes a massive dip in ad revenue for one single day. That does not make staff think ‘oh everyone’s gone let’s shut down.’ What it actually makes them think is ‘oh shit people aren’t happy and if people don’t keep using our site we’re out of money and out of jobs.’
A boycott reminds a company that the users (consumers) have the power to make their site (business) worthless with one single coordinated decision.
If you want to join in, here’s what to do:
Do:
Close all open instances of the app and site on all your devices before the 17th
Make posts before and after the 17th on tumblr and other platforms, talking about why this ban is bad
Make posts on other sites during the 17th. Flood the official tumblr staff twitter and facebook with your anger and your opinion
Come back on the 18th and check in
Don’t:
Delete the app from your phone (this doesn’t affect their revenue and since it’s off the store at the moment it’ll be hard to get back)
Delete your account. I mean you can if you want to, but if you keep your account and don’t use it you’re saying to staff that there’s still time to save it. If you delete it’s hard work to come back.
Open the app or website (including specific blogs)
Make any posts (turn down/off your queue and make sure nothing is scheduled)
Go quiet elsewhere. Make it clear that this is just about tumblr, not a mass move away from all social media.
Remember: the execs don’t care about anything but money. Shutting down the site means there’s $0 further income from it. That’s their last possible course of action. If we make it clear we’re not happy, they’ll have to do something or we can do more and more until it becomes too expensive.
Protests take commitment. They’re a defiant action against a business that is doing something wrong. They will try to scare you into not participating, because they’re scared. We hold all the power here, sometimes the execs just need to be reminded of that.
PLEASE PARTICIPATE THIS NEEDS TO BE BIG SO WE NEED TO FOLLOW THROUGH!
Doing this. Who else is in?
I’m in!
Finally got my invite to pillowfort
