Lol it is actually so funny though that the guy who wrote and acted in Half Man also totally retconed his own characterisation in the finale. Like I think what gets mah blood pumping is literally that the Ruben that we saw in the first 5 episodes would not fucking say I'm gay and proud lmao?? But I can't pass it off as a mistranslation from the script to the actor/direction because He Fucking Did It All. So if Ruben genuinely believed that, which we as an audience are meant to believe because it's meant to be unravelling Niall's hyper masculine lens of who Ruben is, then how does someone with that level of acceptance of sense of self then go and do what he did in the end. Like it's just... I think they needed one more episode just to flesh out that state of mind. Ya I've already written fic about it but it still doesn't make sense. How does he go from gay pride to premeditated murder which he planned for what 3+ years. Like jeeeeesus it's possible to get a life and move on in prison lol.
