âOver and over; I never learn, I never learn.â -9/19/2017
Acrobat aesthetic. Well, sorta.
I put more of a personal spin on this one. My first time riding the train to the City, I put on Acrobat during the last 10 minutes of the ride. Tall buildings started to appear in the distance as soon as that blusey harmonic in the beginning hit. You won't believe me but, the train got faster, and when the edges' guitar solo went off, the whole train turned black. We entered a tunnel, and the only colors I saw were from these purple and orange lights that swung past. It was better timing and choreography than a music video. Some people see colors when they hear music, I can't most the time, but this one...I think this song is purple and orange.
The film is photos taken off my phone, 3 to the left are my first few seconds meeting Edge, Adam, and Bono.
The lyrics are also helping me out, 12th grade is ending and I'm worried outta my mind for whats next. But hey, as long as I get out of my own way, God won't just lead me to the guys, He'll lead me forever into my future, and I will follow.
Sorry, too much information, enjoy the art heh.

Bullet the Blue Sky aesthetic.
Photos were cut out from old magazines except the sky, my mom's 90s boom box, and the bullet test strip. Those I developed.
It was raining and I thought my heavy metal bracelet would look cool with some droplets, so I flung it on the deck and snapped a photo.
I do little pen skribbles of the desert in notebooks at school, helps me relax.
The 3 Polaroids were photos I kept that didn't turn out well, two came out blank and the other is the poster hung in my room.
Bullet The Blue sky was the first u2 song I became addicted to, my dad showed it to me one day and then, bam, before you know it I'd be going to classes with it on repeat 6 hours a day hehe. :/
I hope no one minds, but I feel that these two pictures deserve their own post.Â
A couple of people have made suggestions as to the identity of the tall guy in the second picture. These pictures were part of a larger post featuring shots of Bonoâs ZooTV-era âMirrorball Manâ character. That larger post has been circulating for at least a few years.
I have never seen the tall guy identified as anyone famous or semi-famous.Â
I believe he was a devoted, clearly emotional fan who wanted to dance with Bono, as so many others have over the years. Yes, most of those fans were women, but Bono saw this guy in 1992 or 1993, and invited him up on stage. (Look at Bonoâs face in the first picture, as he reads the sign.)Â
Thatâs the charm of this. Thatâs why I made it a separate post. The man could be anyone at all, and Bono has no problem dancing with him (apart from being a bit squished.)
Something in your eyesâŠ
It was a mini celebration page for my first time seeing/meeting them.
Here's all the thinking process shit, don't read if you don't care:
The blue and greys are from an 80s Rolling Stone magazine, U2 was band of year or something.
The pretty horses were from a big ugly ciggarette ad in there, so I had no shame cutting them out. They signify The Edge's guitar, I see galloping horses or thundering steam train wheels when I hear him play, idk.
I put some of my skribbles, little drawing of a train tunnel to the City, along with one of my guitar pics. As I was making this I was listening to All Along the Watchtower, and the clock struck 12am when Hendrix sang that line "And the WIND, began to Howl!" I wrote it down, it was too perfect.
Those little Joshua trees were from a photo I took from my phone and snapped it with a film camera. It's a test strip I developed in class, testing out different light exposures and shit. Joshua tree was my first u2 aesthetic obsession, no joke. It still inspires me, so thanks Anton Corbijn for them Hot photos.
Thanks for reading, if you did. I won't waste your time no more. Run along now.
Behold, my handy dandy aesthetic notebook. These were all from old 90s National Geographics I got at a thrift store (thanks to an awesome friend of mine!).
I wanted to put Atchung Baby vibes on paper, that hormonal/scary/psychedelic feel.
And of course I wanted that poetic coldness of Berlin too. Hope you liked it! :/
Bono's voice.
I can't even describe it in words
I don't even think you can
You just sound like a soul
You sound like a soul
Your voice groans and buzzes
You wail an anointed passion
Cooing like a dove
Mannerisms of the soul
And whatever that breath of yours is
It's not our winds
That's a breeze straight from Heaven
Your exhales make me want to breathe from a place in my throat that doesn't exist.
.. ..
~ A clever little thingy I wrote at 2 in the morning, I'm not a weirdo for the guy I swear... but man, somethin' about his voice.
