She doesn’t seriously care about her son. He doesn’t really love her son, she just likes the idea of having her son. She’s perfectly willing to sacrifice Jesse to a damn Prince of Hell just to have revenge for the imaginary offenses against her. You don’t practically sell out the soul of someone you “love” or “care” about.

okay but with matthew and cordelia in paris and james heading to cornwall with will and magnus, who’s gonna take care of grace? like idk if she’ll go to the silent city but imagine she stays at the institute or moves in with the lightwoods. she forms a little group with thomas and christopher bc they’ve been tasked by james or somebody to keep an eye on her. they all become friends. gracetopher working in the lab at the devil tavern together. bonding over science. christopher being surprised that somebody actually wants to hear what he has to say. grace being surprised that a boy will do things for her, not bc he’s under her spell, but purely out of the kindness of his heart. they bond over science and just mutual surprise at the way somebody can show such simple kindness.
